CAMP NEW JERSEY, Kuwait - Army reservist Brandon Beyer got fired up before his first overseas deployment.
He would drive around his hometown of White Bear Lake, Minn., see the antiwar signs posted all over town, and his blood would boil.

Anyone who spits on or otherwise abuses these brave people cannot claim the title of American. Anyone who spits on or otherwise abuses these brave people better make damn sure I don't see 'em do it.

Yep, I sure do. I was on an air base in the UAE waging hand-to-hand combat (felt like it anyway...) with the stinkin' news media. I pity those PAOs who have journalists embedded in their units.

Having been called "baby killer" and spit at from 68 to 70, I was trying to come up with an appropiate response. I can't beat:
"Dont worry, we will take care of any group of people that dare to fu*k with returning troops. "

I saw Ollie reporting from somewhere over in the Gulf tonight. Now, he's the type of "journalist" I wish they all were. (I can dream, can't I???) ;-) hahahaha

I'm a Marine stationed on Okinawa, we're all thankfull for what ya'll are writing for us. I wish all Americans felt the same way. About a month ago, while I was on colors detail (Raising the colors on post) I picked up the stars and stripes paper about five minutes before the ceremony. All across the front page and littered throughout they had pictures of the anti war protests. One image made me want to go straight to the armory. That picture was of an "American" running through the streets of San Francisco BURNING AN AMERICAN FLAG!!!. Dont get me wrong, they have every right to do that in protest to our government, but when they do it in front of me I will take every opportunity to let them know how TRUE Americans REALLY feel. Thanks again

I would personally buy drinks for our troops at a bar if I saw them.
Anti-war protesters are honest-to-God nitwits (and I'm being polite here)!!
