Clambering amid the foliage a hundred feet above the ground, lumber company climbers on Monday snapped a harness around a defiant anti-logging protester, cut through the metal sleeve binding her to the redwood's trunk, and lowered her to the forest floor.

Lets see, Resisting Arrest, Trespassing, Harassment, Obstruction....

Charges would be really nice, showing the actions actually do have consequences.

Why don't they just cut the trees down? Give the sitters 24 hours notice and then fail to notice if they are still in the tree. Do it to one or two and soon you'll run out of tree sitters.

Or maybe just girdle the trees that they choose to sit in and let the tree die with them in it.

I hope the lumber companies take these scumbags to civil court and sue the crap out of them for lost income and the cost of hauling their stinking unshowered asses out of the tree.
