Great. I want by baby back. My daughter, that is. She's 18, but still my baby. She's on spring break from college and for the first itme ever, un-chaperoned.

I think that it (the warning level) will go to elmo very, very soon. I made my usual monday morning trip from my home in Olympia WA to Seattle today (70 miles). I pass Fort Lewis and the Washington National Guard base on the way. On my way up,near Seattle, I saw National Guard (I assume) trucks towing small artillery pieces into Seattle (painted green, not desert color).

On my way home I pass semi-tractor trailers towing Humvees toward Olympia (the state capitol). I think some series home defense preparation is going into effect at high-profile locations right this very moment.

any American city larger than eugene is a high profile target. if terror is the goal to the islamists, we all become targets, and the concomitant reaction is the prize for them, and cnn will be their obliging partner.
