Guys, I am getting tremendous response from the churches. Please take a few minutes to call and then fax & e-mail the information. They are very interested in hearing about us. Tell them to let us know if they are participating so we can let the press know. Also, I heard from the Boy Scouts and they are letting the units know - but so far no committment for participation. And the Ventura County Star definitely knows about us.

I gave my buddy Jim (a Biker) the flyers and he going to post them at bars where the bikers hang out and tell his buddies!

At corner of T.O. Blvd. and Westlake yesterday, between 3:00 & 4:00, several bikers came by, thumbs up and horns honking. Great!

One man in a car drove by slowly, quite a risky move considering the traffic there, to check out the signs. When he confirmed why we were there -- that we were the good guys, he did a thumbs-up and yelled, "Finally!" and drove on.

The media is heating up and they want to talk to military spouses. If you are a military spouse or know of someone that would be willing to talk to the press, please contact me A.S.A.P!! Jillm knows of quite a few people, but it wouldn't hurt to add to the pot.

Tune your radios to KVTA 1520 AM tomorrow!!! One of our own FReepers (cbspouse) was interviewed on the PRO-USA side of the story! She is a Navy Spouse whose husband is over in the Gulf Region. She gave a passionate interview and I know it will be a great thing to listen to!
I have been on the phone and computer all day with the Star. Charles Levin from the Star will be interviewing cbspouse tonight after the speech.
I have had no luck with the Times. I am going to call them tomorrow. I am getting no where with emailing the media. I am going to start calling tomorrow.

This is a funny story. Jessica from KTVA called around 5:30 and asked me if I knew of any anti-war person she could interview because she wanted to have a balanced program. I immediately thought of a good friend of mine - I've known her 25 years and we have never agreed on anything when it comes to politics. I gave her a call and of course she is bitterly opposed to the war and willing to talk to KTVA - so her interview will probably be aired in conjunction with CBspouses.

I am pretty sure you will hear from LA Times tomorrow but give them a call anyway. Also, KEYT TV has been notified via e-mail so I hope they get hold of you.

When are WE going to get to talk to CBspouse?

There were three ill informed young men by Camarillo City Hall today ... I stopped and asked them where were they during Kosovo? THey said What was that? When was that? I said, yes where WERE you then? Then one of them asked if my daughter knows what is going on in Iraq. I said, You want to come over and ask her? SHe is deaf, you try to talk to her. Of course, they didn't. By the way, everyone should be watching Frontline on PBS right now.

I heard about those guys there. I guess they park themselves by the war memorial - which I find really offensive. If you ever want to pay them a visit, give me a call/mail and I will meet you down there. I have extra flags.

I am sure Val E. Girl would be up for a quick visit as well and we have a couple of other Camarillo freepers that share the same sentiment.

We could probably mobilize in less that 15 minutes and boy wouldn't that give something for people to remember.

I told them they should be ashamed in front of the soldier's memorial and they said are you kidding - We're doing this FOR the soldiers! I drove away yelling USA!

I talked to and emailed the Ventura Federated Republican women or some such today...posted a flyer at Borders...contacted a teacher at Los Altos Friday, and tomorrow will canvas the office as best as I can (I work for the Navy).

I drive past the interesection of Paseo Camarillo and Carmen (the corner with the MIA memorial) almost everyday. I haven't noticed anything. Some days I even go over and eat lunch by the amphitheater. If I see anybody, I'll give them hell and a good tongue-lashing. I spent three summers at sea and I can cuss up a purple storm ;^)
