A truly beautiful thread today, dutchess...thank you.
May fair winds and fortunes fill your sails, and may your tankards all be filled with ales....)
A big, Irish, God bless America and our President, and his beauftiful Laura, our First Lady...and, all our troops putting it on the line for us, right at this very moment.
Begosh and begorrah, y'all...)
I'm not Irish (except for today)
But my favorite color is GREEN and I don't need a special day as an excuse to wear my favorite color!
BUT since this IS the day for the wearin' o the green, I've pulled out all stops!
I however draw the line at eating or drinking anything that's green, LOL!
HAPPY ST PATRICK'S DAY!!
Sure an' I couldna resist a wee bit of Irish-Texas humor fer ye Texans!!
A Texan rancher comes to Ireland and meets a Kerry farmer. The Texan says : "Takes me a whole goddam day to drive from one side of my ranch to the other."
The Kerry farmer says:"Ah sure, I know, sir. We have tractors like that over here too."
Murphy won the Irish Sweepstakes $100,000.00 and was on a long holiday in America. He went on a bus tour and travelled for hours and hours through desert country and oil fields.
Murphy said, "Where are we now?"
The guide said, "We're in the great state of Texas."
"It's a big place," said Murphy.
The guide said, "It's so big, that your County Kerry would fit into the smallest corner of it."
And Murphy said, "Yes, and wouldn't it do wonders for Texas!"
LOL! I like that "y'all" at the end!
Love the beautiful painting this morning, jw!
