Click ... one more in that "No" category. In this country we vote not only with ballots, but with dollars. I don't see how anyone could claim that using our monetary vote as a voice of protest is "unfair".

If they want to save their act the bookends will tell the fat chick to take a "roll."
Give her a solo act in France.

Added my "no" ; it's waaaay past time the entertainers learn that ridiculing this nation and its people has consequences such as a sudden need to find other work like scrubbing floors.

Dear Natalie,
Dry up and blow away.

I think that your scenario will likely happen; there is, after all, a LOT of money at stake here.

The Vichy Chicks auction is still up on Ebay so I guess Natalie couldn't get it killed :-)

Freeped! I'd like to echo other posters here, and say that I'd like to see entertainers' comments come back to haunt them.
To: I'mPeach
Just so you know, I'm ashamed the Dixie Chicks are from Texas.

The sad thing is, she probably doesn't understand the reference to Vichy.

"Are fans unfairly punishing The Dixie Chicks for Natalie Maines' comments about President Bush?" I'm tired of the constant judging and searching for meaning in global ninnies. Most of the time things are what they are and no commentary is needed...or wanted.

At this point, I wonder if the bookend chicks will actually kill the fat chick. Natalie didn't say "I am embarrassed..." she said "WE are emarassed..." so obviously based on personal conversation with the "bookends," she felt comfortable attributing this stance to them also.

It doesn't matter if they are being treated unfairly. She chose to express her opinion which many of her fans found to be unfair. They are simply expressing their opinion. In the US, you have the freedom of speech. You do not have the freedom from the consequences of what you said. Deal with it.
