Bush administration officials said the sale took place in August and was described in classified intelligence reports as a "dual-use" chemical used in making missile fuel.

Officials discussed details of the chemical sale after it was first reported by columnist William Safire in Thursday's editions of the New York Times.

They also helped modernize Iraq's air defences.

A large of number of Iraqi tanks that we'll use for target practice will be ChiCom made Type 59s.

China is our ally in the war on terror. I take the word of GW after his Chinese guest, the future premiere, visited the ranch at Crawford. Prince Bandar, with his bride, were also guests at Crawford and given a clean bill of health on the war on terror. This in spite of evidence that has been released by the CIA, indicating the princess is a leading contributor to Al Qaeda.

Suggestion: It would make sense to have guests cleared by intelligence agencies before visits in the Whie House or on the ranch. It would make the security of the President more reliable as well as the gullibility of endorsing our enemies as friends.

You do not know what you are talking about.

China is our ally in the war on terror. I take the word of GW

I don't think he has ever stated this directly.

after his Chinese guest, the future premiere, visited the ranch at Crawford.

Here is where you don't know anything.

The outgoing "President", Jiang Zemin, visited Crawford.

Hu Jintao, who replaces Jiang as "President", did visit the US last year to meet the Bush adminsitration but did not go to Crawford. Cheney hosted that visit.

This is who you meant, but he did not go to Crawford nor was he future Premier. Wen Jiaobo just became Premier.

It's interesting in that I find those least concerned about the Chinese regime are the least informed and knowledgeable about them.

Iran has a thriving space launch business going. LOL

The leadership of France will never admit to anything along these lines. We could have Chirac's fingerprints on the Franks or Euros and it would still mean nothing to the French. This denial is going to be unanimously adopted by the French as they wave their little white flags and smile so broadly that they almost look asian.

Disclosure of the Chinese chemical sale comes amid other recent intelligence reports revealing that an unidentified French company sold military-aircraft spare parts to Iraq in January.

The spare parts for Iraq's French-made Mirage jets and Gazelle helicopters were sold to a company in the United Arab Emirates and sent to Iraq over land from a third country, intelligence officials said.

The chemical sale to Iraq, according to the officials, involved a French company known as CIS Paris, that helped broker the chemical sale in August of 20 tons of HTPB, which was shipped from China to the Syrian port of Tartus.

Is it any wonder that France, China, and Russia oppose the US efforts to win UN support? They have too many investments in Iraq, which they need to protect.
