The Truckin' Bozo Radio Network ^

Posted on 03/15/2003 6:39:00 AM PST by hardhead

Last night Steve Somers of the Truckin' Bozo Radio Network promoted the Free Republic. He read the mission statement of FR to the thousands of truckers nationwide who listen to the show for news about the industry, conditions, and discussion of current events. The Truckin' Bozo is carried on AM and the XM satellite radio system.

Then there's the coal being hauled from the mine head, the concrete for the dams, the fuel for the reactors, the hardware for the powerplants and their support buildings...it goes on and on.

It was a trucker who stopped, made her feel safe by staying in his truck, calling the highway patrol and getting her help. He stayed until they came. I wish I knew his name.

God knows his name.

"Truckers move the world."

I've been a listener for eons, too. I think the average caller on that show is more interested in seeing the Constitution upheld than I can find elsewhere.

I respect them highly. They have insight into what is really going on in the nation that is unobtainable in any other way. What they can say in this venue, however, is not always all that they know first-hand.

The motor which actually carries America is to be found under the hood of those trucks.

God Bless them, every one.

"Folks, give them courtesy on the road like a quick flash of your high beams once they pass you so they can pull in front of you."

I never flash high beams. I blink my lights off and on a couple times, but getting an eyefull of high beams at night is not something I'd appreciate, personally, so I don't do it to anyone else.

My adorable, then 19 year old blond daughter . . . after visiting her twin at college.

Wow . . . wow . . . oh, excuse me, I think my jaw was hanging open

What is this thread about again? ;-)
