Sister Bernie Galvan of the group Religious Witness for the Homeless, and Father Louis Vitale of St. Boniface Church.

I have to assume that every homeless person in the Bay Area is now sheltered and well cared for, and that every last parishioner of St. Boniface is in a state of grace and has been fully and intensively instructed in the Scriptures and the Catechism.

Otherwise, how could Sister Bernie and Father Lou have enough spare time to take part in a disruptive street protest?

The group will attempt to halt business the day following a formal announcement so that "it won't be business as usual,'' he said.

...

"We had absolutely no disruptions to trading," said stock exchange spokesman John Werts.

Typical Lib efficiency.

San Francisco resident Nathaniel Holden, 27, is part of a group called ActAgainstWar.org, and said his group plans to continue to protest, and has already decided on a contingency plan should the federal government officially declare war. The group will attempt to halt business the day following a formal announcement so that "it won't be business as usual,'' he said.

Because everyone knows that shutting down the economy will stop war. It's scientific.

Demonstrators continue to stand with locked arms at the gates of the Mills Building, located on Montgomery Street, and according to police will most likely be arrested if they fail to move from the site.

What a pathetic joke.

If they are blocking roads, why not just run them over?

"Gee officer, I wasn't looking for people sitting in the middle of the road because who would expect anyone to do anything so foolish?"

Protestors also include members of a brass band called Brass Liberation Orchestra ...well now...I'd have thought most of these Commie-Kalipornicator types played the skin flute at these peaceful protests riots.

Stay Safe !

First there is the faint scent of patchouli then I hear the chuffing sound of marching Birkenstocks on Market Street. The swoosh of goose-stepping bell bottoms. Then the chilling chant, 'KOOM BYE YAH!!"...my horror is complete.

"The purpose of today's protest is to stop the money that's going to war,'' Holden said.

Since the protesters are out there during business hours, I am going to assume that a good percentage of them don't have jobs. Who are they to be making decisions where this "money" belongs?

The "organizer" of the black-block rally is an anarchist going by the name of "August Spies". It's an appropriate nom de guerre (pardon my French) considering Mr. Spies was an anarchist / socialist responsible for rallying the mob at the Chicago Haymarket Riot in 1886. During the riot, an anarchist threw a bomb towards police and killed seven policemen dispersing the mob.

If history is your guide, expect stormy weather in the City by the Bay...
