[history]
There is new hope that slowing the spread of AIDS in Africa, where an estimated 30 million people are dying from the disease, may be as simple as ABC.
ABC stands for "Abstinence, Be Faithful, or use Condoms," in that order of emphasis. It is also what public health experts call the program begun in Uganda in 1986, when HIV infections and AIDS began washing over Uganda's citizens like a plague. Many Western experts derided the project when it began, but today it is considered the brightest success story in the course of the pandemic.

Keeping it zipped works very well.
So does faithfulness. As long as your spouse is also faithful.
I wouldn't bet on latex. Not with my life as the stakes.

Studies Say Sex is Not Main AIDS CauseThanks for posting the link back to the other thread I started on this theme. I wish that Tom Carter, in his article today, had recalled the evidence he himself published ten days previously, evidence showing that, although risky sex is a major cause of African AIDS, dirty syringes and contaminated medication vials are even more important. Here is a link to the science:
Unsafe healthcare drives spread of African HIV
Uganda is a country on the mend not just in its morals, but also economically. I'm all for sexual morality. But might part of Uganda's AIDS improvement stem from doctors and nurses taking more care with injection hygiene?

I'm sure of that, nothing beats a new/clean needle. You ought to see what I do just to use a needle to get out a splinter! I think these African countries were better off when they were colonized by Europe.

Neither would I, it's permeable and can break.
I feel the same about the UN.

"If there is evidence that HIV causes AIDS, there should be scientific documents which either singly or collectively demonstrate that fact, at least with a high probability. There is no such document."
Dr. Kary Mullis, Biochemist, 1993 Nobel Prize for Chemistry.
"Up to today there is actually no single scientifically really convincing evidence for the existence of HIV. Not even once such a retrovirus has been isolated and purified by the methods of classical virology."
Dr. Heinz Ludwig Sänger, Emeritus Professor of Molecular Biology and Virology, Max-Planck-Institutes for Biochemy, München.

MISSING VIRUS! £ 1000 Reward
Blind romantics still believe HIV causes AIDS. But if 'HIV' has never been isolated, what is AIDS?
Never isolated? You bet! A cash prize of £ 1000 is offered to the first person finding one scientific paper establishing actual isolation of HIV.
If you or a friendly 'AIDS expert' can prove isolation, £ 1000 is yours. In cash. In public.

ABC should become ABCDE - Abstinence, Be faithful, use Condoms, Domesticate your people, Educate your people. Why the D and E? In other parts of Africa, people think that good and evil spirits found in inanimate objects bring misfortune and disease. Others think that deflowering a virgin will cure HIV, when, in reality, it spreads the virus to a young girl and the virus remains in the man who thinks that he is now cured and starts spreading it some more. This is the reason that infant girls are often raped in Africa - because infected men are sure that they are virgins. Bunch of unDomesticated, unEducated sickos.
