Canada wants 3 weeks. How come all these countries with no armies think they should be able to say what happens with the armies of the ones that do??

We should veto the Canadian initiative. As a reply to Toronto MP Dennis Mills latest riposte against our country.

If Canada had 300,000 troops arrayed around Iraq I don't think they would find 3 weeks bearable.

Remember the conventional wisdom regarding the timing of the Afganistan assault? The US cannot fight in winter. It's absurd! The frigid mountains and snow, cold will make an assault impossible, the equipment inoperative. Our people cannot fight in the brutal Afghan winters that stop even the most stoic.

When did we fight? Winter. We launched an assault in Winter.

If there is one thing I have noticed about President Bush, it is his ability to think completely outside the box. That ability is a rare gift. He has it and demands it of his administration. I think if Saddam is betting that the desert heat will make an assault impossible, he doesn't understand the absolute power behind this military, nor does he know exactly what we can do.

Besides, this UN business is so much smoke and mirrors the idiots stonewalling have fallen prey to the distraction. The game is what is really the true alignment of the world and who are the players? Just goes to show what a true poker game is.

"Spain said the document might be withdrawn because of a likely veto by France. "

Don't give the UN any more chances to disarm, withdraw the resolution and go get SoDumb. France and Germany have disarmed the UN. The US will disarm Iraq.

Where has Canada been all these weeks? All talk of a few more days or weeks further strengthens Saddam as the international community splinters more each day. Those diplomats who cannot see that simple fact are too naive to hold any leadership position.
