The other night, at their opening for their tour in London, they indicated on stage that they were sad to know/hear that our President was from Texas. Again, it is sad to see and hear yet another "celebrity" announcing that they are ashamed of their President of their Unites States. I just wish we would get over and get back so that these "celebrities" would quit using all of these Grammy, Emmy, own concert "stages" to provide their political saitre.

So sad . . They were one of my favorite country groups. I can never spend a red cent on their cd's now!

Now I have even MORE reason to dislike the Dixie Hicks. I was already hacked about songs like "Goodbye Earl" and the totally irreverent "Sin-Wagon", and now I'm totally pushed away by the Hicks' leftist views. It kinda stinks because I was actually going to go see them in concert soon---not because I liked them---but because I really love Michelle Branch's music. She was going to open for them.

their anti american military and anti bush rhetoric definitely bring comfort to sadaam hussein... and aid his attempts to hide and USE WMD's against our troops, allies and citizens... by delaying his disarmament and supporting anti american positions... they do sadaam GREAT service and our nation is betrayed.
rosenberg them.... plain and simple.

This is disappointing. I like their music. I wont buy it now.

Every time someone in the entertainment industry bashes our country or our president while on foreign soil, they should not come back. They simply should stay wherever they happen to be and not come back. But of course, they come back because the hypocrites know they can't achieve fame and fortune anywhere else except in the USA.
The best thing that could happen to them is that boycotts of their products become so widespread in the US that their only income comes from overseas. Maybe then, they'll all move away to where they're appreciated.

It's believable. Entertainers are told to say such things over there to boost their sales over there.

And they don't know when to stop. "Just so you know," says singer Natalie Maines, "we're ashamed the president of the United States is from Texas." It gets the audience cheering - at a time when country stars are rushing to release pro-war anthems, this is practically punk rock.
As Pres. Bush said "It's time for all to lay their cards on the table" and the Dixie Chicks got 3 deuces.
They'd probably be a big hit in France. Maybe they'll stay there.

These days, there's not much country worth listening to. It's mostly pop music with a very slight country feel. These days I spend a lot of time listening to old stuff by The Band - now there's music with a country feel, to hell with the Dixie Chicks. I have a video where drummer Levon Helm says, "Back then, acid rock was the fad, and everyone was sayin' stuff like 'hate your parents' and 'don't trust anyone over 30' and a lot of other stuff that didn't make much sense. So we just steered clear of all that."

Time to call your local country radio station & let them know you will no longer be listening to them as long as the Didtzes are played. Could also get others to do the same...

indeed.
perhaps they are not REAL texicans?
after all, I know that they may not be "real blondes" or "brunettes" either...
gray haired, overweight hags, who LOVE suporting abortionists like Cheryl Crow... and hate any semblance of personal morality... because of their addiction to the "sin wagon..."
the rosenberg chicks... need to stay out of the land they have betrayed.

Hmm...I was never a fan of country music, but the Dixie Chicks made country music tolerable. I've only heard like, two of their songs and I couldn't even name them. It's too bad they had to incorporate politics with their music. I have no respect for them, at least the vocal, after reading this.
To: sentz
Damn, I liked them too. No more buying their CD's.

Really, these were the jerks that refused to play "W's" inauguration. I have known their blood runs black ever since.
