Eleven hours ahead for the West coast. I noticed last year that I can click on the time in my system tray and select my time zone. Then I noticed baghdad is on the list, and is at GMT +3, while Pacific time is GMT - 8.
So, just like the last war, 03:00 in baghdad = 11 hours.
Every day, between 14:00 and 17:00 I start checking the news every 15 minutes or so.
Bush and/or the UN is whipping us into a real war frenzy, as this thing drags on. That makes me a tad nervous.

Shouldn't it be Hans Blows Dix?

45 DAYS The White House just ruled out an extension to April 17th as a "non-starter" so I doubt you're going to see anything like a 45 day extension.

More evidence that Iraq is not complying. How can you say that? They must allow these flights and they are not allowing these flights, how can you say they are not fully complying? This is full compliance according to Bliz and the French.

I thought Wolfowitz was being sort of prophetic as well... hmmm...

I tend to agree. I have been under the assumption that the day we vote is the day the bombs start dropping. If they want to put off the vote, well, that is a vote in itself.

"So we pulled them to avoid starting the war more overtly now or for what??? "FNC just now reported that the flights were threatened, although they were not shot at, and returned to their base. This is currently developing so at this time we have not made any kind of a response.

so from the U.N. viewpoint, this is a biggie. Doubtful, the U.N. would require it to be shot down for them to have enough "evidence" that it was threatened. I'm sure they'll ask for another 294756 months to discuss this.

"I thought Wolfowitz was being sort of prophetic as well... hmmm... "Yes my impression is that we are either at, or very close to, critical mass.

In '91 I guessed it within about an hour. But I seem to remember a "harder" line then. The start date was more obvious, and only the start time was really up for speculation.
I figured high noon was probably out.

In response to Iraq's threat to "Bullet the Blue Sky," the US has decided to stop flying U-2s "Where the Streets Have No Name."
In other news, Hans Blix announced, "But I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For."
And the United States said to the UN that it was going to war "With or Without You."

According to the lunar calendar I'm looking at, the next new moon is on April 1st. March 17th is a full moon and would be as light as it ever gets. My bet is the Air Force has already significantly degraded the defensive capability of the Iraqis and figures it no longer needs the cover of darkness.

I think we ought to paint the French flag on our planes and then bomb the crap out of them!
Now, this is priceless!
