[history]
March 11, 2003 -- IF you were left cold by Sunday night's hotly anticipated "60 Minutes" showdown between Bill Clinton and Bob Dole, you weren't alone.
"60 Minutes" chief Don Hewitt wasn't happy, either, and said he thought Dole needs work - and that the feature will have to be juiced up a bit.

"Clinton is Clinton - he's very smooth and there's no question that when he gets through, you know what he said," Hewitt said. You may know what he said but that does nothing to help the istener know if it is believable. The man lies under oath, lies on camera, and cries on cue.
Since they are not competing for (re)election, there should be a competition in the debates. Only pay the winner (best 6 out of 10) of the debates. Ralph Nader, Pat Buchanan, Lyndon LaRouche, and Ross Perot are the judges (a committee of also-ran presidential candidates).

Me thinks it's time to blitz Hewitt.
Now, Let's go to the Non-BS Bullpen video tape...
Rush, are you ready to throw some leftist bubba bent "tennis balls" thru the garden hose for Ms.Flower's...consumption?
Oopps...That's another "I blew it" story.

I didn't watch. I don't watch See BS or the Big Creep. That said, I think that the genius behind this segment was hoping for the "funny" Bob Dole who appeared on David Letterman's show, who made commercials for Pepsi and Viagra cocktails. Well, you get the drift.
The audience doesn't have to agree with or like Andy Rooney to tune in to see what the lil' nutter will say. That was probably what they were going for here. Clinton was See BS's "voice of reason" and the other guy was just too dry to be entertaining.

"It's all about the words," Hewitt said. "I'm one of the few guys in television who realized a lot of years ago that this is a business about words - not necessarily about pictures." what an egotistical idiot...

Not one of these three people should have anything to do with telling Americans anything anymore.
Bill Clinton should be in jail and Hewitt and Dole should be at the Dog Track.
To: kattracks
You have me confused, Don.
Confused with someone who gives a $hit what Bob Dole and Slick Willie think about anything!

...Perhaps they should have pitted Slick Willie against Ann Coulter-now THAT would've have been fireworks! I don't think Clinton would go for that. Ann has no absolutely no interest in having "sexual relations" with him.

"We're going to make sure it looks like more of a confrontation next time," Hewitt told The Post yesterday.
Notice the language. They only want it to look more like a confrontation. They do not say that they actually want it to be one.

'Nuff said. Besides, she's far too advanced in the cranium and has her facts lined up like ducks in a row.

May this whole STUPID idea die a horrible, lingering death......Hewitt obviously has scabs on his knees from his participation the Clintoon Kneepad Club.....

Xlinton already has beaten Dole when it counted.
Get someone else.

Replace Dole ASAP. Here's some good options:
1) Rush
2) Newt
3) Ann
4) Juanita

I've said it before: this is CBS' war by proxy against the Bush administration, just like President Bartlett is MSNBC's war by proxy against the Bush administration. Bob Dull is serving as a representative of the Bushite point of view, and as much as he and everybody will go on record to deny it, that is how, like it or not, he will be SEEN by the audience. What a perfect patsy for a smooth talking used car salesman!

Bob, I voted for you, and would have again. Do me a favor and not allow these greasy shlockmeisters the opportunity to make mock of your gravitas. Please don't do any more of these debates.

Hey Hewitt! The segment was awful and Dole let the Felon get away with his usual lying rants right out of the RAT playbook. It was what we have come to expect from the 60 Minutes gang with you in the lead and Dangerous Dan the obnoxious leftist mouthpiece.
You have to read the book, "Bias" now out in paperback, for a clear view of RAT-her by Bernie Goldberg, fired by CBS for telling the truth.
