Police have recovered a wig stolen from Cher's dressing room during a concert tour.
Cher is known for her flamboyant style |
The star's wig, which was valued at $10,000 (£6,226), was reported missing following a gig at Richmond Coliseum in Virginia. But a woman walked into a local police station a week later and handed over the black and teal-coloured braided hairpiece
The breakthrough came after a police officer from nearby Chesterfield overheard a man boasting about having the wig.
The suspect later told police he had given it to an unknown woman outside the concert on 25 February.
The identities of the two suspects have not yet been revealed.
"At this point in the investigation, it is believed that these folks were fans," police spokeswoman Christie Collins said.
"Part of the investigation is how they got into that room."
The wig had been stored in Cher's backstage wardrobe room which was left unguarded.
It was only discovered missing when the road crew began unpacking costumes the next night ahead of Cher's performance in Baltimore.
The wig has not yet been returned to the singer as it will be used as evidence in any prosecution.
Richmond Coliseum manager Larry Wilson Jr promised the thieves would be prosecuted "to the fullest extent of the law".

I didn't realise she had such passionate fans. Stealing her wig is a bit much though.
Regards, Ivan

Fortunately for us in Richmond, the Bruce Springsteen concert last night went off without a problem. No known thefts of star's belongings at this time.

This reminds me of what happens in Kalifornia every three or four years: "Clothesline Bandits" that snatch wimmin's panties from the line.

FINALLY!! Real news.

Next you'll be telling me that Michael Jackson has had plastic surgery... We finished watching the Fox show last night showing the footage from his cameras of the Bashir (sp) interview. He denied having anything done other than two nose jobs to help him "breathe better." Absolutely incredible. Dunno if anyone else watched it, but his face is now so messed up that his top lip apparently doesn't work anymore. It barely ever moves and as a result he talks with a lisp. Hard to imagine his singing voice not changing quite a bit.

Fortunately for us in Richmond...How's the weather there today? My daughter is moving from Short Pump to Glen Allen, and I hope that it is dry. (She doesn't need mud tracked into the new house.)

It's gray and cloudy today but no rain so far. The weather reports said it would get sunny this afternoon but it sure doesn't look like it right now.
Hope the move goes ok. Moving is such a PITA. But it is a good reason to go through stuff and get rid of all that junk that tends to accumulate.
