His "whip count" remark told me a lot. It told me that he's made up his mind.My thoughts exactly. When he used the term 'whip count' I resorted to speaking to my XM Radio receiver, having no one else in the car: "There's your headline."
The decision is made, only the death throes of "Operation Fig Leaf" at the UN delay it, and only then to humor the stouthearted Tony Blair.

A quick Blix preview comment.
It will be interesting to contrast President Bush's no-nonsense approach to eliminating the threat posed by Iraq with that of the Blixter -- and how the media will spin his "report".
The media elite stuck in a clintonista time-warp will welcome the Blix report for its style not its substance. Those living in the post-911 present will focus on the substance not its style.

"If pre-billing is any kind of indicator, Blix will have a schizophrenic breakdown at the podium today. Iraq is 'cooperating but not complying'. Great. Only an appeasing pinhead could come up with a summation like that."I find it almost impossible to believe that someone with the amount of education Blixie has is capable of this level of incompetence. He failed in NK, and he's failed in Iraq but refuses to admit it yet....Saddam (and Kim) MUST be blackmailing him. Or paying him to be their agent...likely both.

then to humor the stouthearted Tony Blair. And to me, humoring Tony Blair is worth it. We need allies, and Tony Blair is risking his political career to stand with us. If he needs UN cover, then let's go back one more time for a decision. Doesn't alter our course at all.

For Sale: twenty slightly used white SUV's with "UN" markings and blue flags. Used for driving about with friends in desert terrain for four months. Have never carried any weapons of mass destruction. Oh the fun I could have with one or two of those....

Thanks for the thread and the bump Howlin. Good morning everybody! I am in full FReep uniform this morning, so Blixie can't body slam me again with his traitorous report. Got my little flag to wave and my tinfoil hat.
Any other uniform ideas?? :^)

I go along with that -- no Blix or his sidekick (whose name I never bothered to learn because I really detest that man)! If I never hear either one of them speak again, it will be too soon.

Lose your breakfast -- isn't that the truth -- I swear that Blix is running as a RAT for the US Senate the way he changes what he is saying from one hour to the next!
