If pre-billing is any kind of indicator, Blix will have a schizophrenic breakdown at the podium today. Iraq is "cooperating but not complying". Great. Only an appeasing pinhead could come up with a summation like that.
To: guitfiddlist
I am ready for war if for no other reason than that we will no longer see Hans Blix on television.
To: Howlin

Once again Blix is going to announce that Iraq in NOT complying with 1441, has weapons that they are hiding, and is building more weapons -- AND STILL the Frogs and the Dummycrats are going to say we don't have enough proof -- GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I heard that Sec. Powell may have an immediate rebuttal.
If so should that here or on a new thread?
To: jwalsh07
I loved the line last night from Pres. Bush that everyone would have to show their cards. One question, have they or have they not complied with 1441. I think the Axis of Appeasers was shocked by this, because the only reason he is going to call for a vote, is to let the world see where everyone stands before we go in and kick @ss and take names and find everything there is to find that the UN inspectors couldn't.

Okay, what are the odds that Powell will call for a snap vote on Monday? Any takers?
Bush sounded awfully certain of the course of his actions last night. His "whip count" remark told me a lot. It told me that he's made up his mind.

Chris

President Bush suckerpunched Blix last night.
He got the advanced copy of the report. It CLEARLY shows that Saddam is not in full compliance with 1441. President Bush made it EXTREMLY clear what the whole debate boils down to: Is Saddam in full, complete and unconditional compliance with Resolution 1441?
If Blix tries to softpedal the violations, he will be exposed for it. Blix isn't the judge of what should be done. He only reports what he and his team inspects.
Bush's positioning last night was a masterstoke of diplomatic maneuvering.
