Saddam has had entirely TOO much time to prepare for this battle. It's time for us to tell the UN to pound sand and move forward into Iraq!!

Saddam is prepared for that. He's seen all the old movies. He'll tell them to answer "Brooklyn".

Or are his friends the Germans and the French shipping him NATO supplies? My best bet would be Germany, the French have yet to make an uniform without the noticable "pink" tint to it.

I can't blame him, really. I bet ours are more comfortable.
It's not going to save a single Iraqi, though. As if this is a totally novel approach, unanticipated by the US.

A little off topic here but John Gibson is going to have someone on his show today that used to work with Blix and has known him for many many years. He played a teaser of the interview with Shep a little while ago and it sounds like it is going to be very interesting. He is saying that no way is Blix the person for this position as chief inspector and that he is very gullible and easy to trick so he is playing right into Saddam's hands.

Could this be a preplay of Hitler getting prisoners to wear Polish uniforms and make a fake attack on his country? If I recall correctly Hitler had them all killed, and used it as a propaganda tool.

Instant hanging if captured in a phony Allied uniform.
No tree limbs around? Use a helicopter and then cut the rope loose.

Yeah, terrific. And with the success of baseball lately, our guys will end up wiping each other out.

A couple of days ago there was a story about being able to buy uniforms ffrom overseas. This sounds to me like an experiment we did in a high school class long ago.
The teacher whispers a story to the first student (It is written down for reference).
Then the students whisper the story one to another until it reaches the last student. That student then tells the story to the rest of the class then the teache reads the original.
It's amazing how the story changes. Things are dropped, added, exagerated, etc.
I think they're breaking a story that doesn't exist.

Where exactly is Saddam "procuring" these uniforms? Possibly ebay. Check out the thread for a real ebay listing of a US Navy officer uniform for sale, among others.

Sadly enough, I actually don't know who won the last World Series (though, I'd guess Yankees), but I
do recall who won American Idol, even though I never watched the show.

I'm sure we have a lot of obese, swarthy soldiers in their 50s with black moustaches. Right.
To: Maedhros
Actually, the proper historical reference would be to the Nazis dressing concentration camp prisoners in Polish uniforms and killing them in a way that simulated a Polish attack on a German border post. This was the German pretext for the invasion of Poland in 1939.
Undoubtedly, Saddam will have them kill civilians to create atrocities to blame on the US and use them to sew confusion with US invading troops. I suspect the will be ineffective in creating confusion for our troops, but it will require some identification effort.
We should make it clear anyone caught in an American or British uniform will be summarily executed.

No, no, he's just preparing them for the post-war reality, when, after we defeat them, Iraq becomes our 52nd welfare state!

Of course everybody knows it was the California Angels. Oh, come on. The Angels win the Series? How absurd. You must be on the side of the axis of evil. ;-)
