JAPAN OFFERS UNCONDITIONAL SUPPORT OF U.S.A. ON IRAQ ATTACK ISSUE, U.N. RESOLUTION OR NOT

From the Japanese language Yomiuri News report:
The Government of Japan has just announced (around 1 p.m. Eastern Time Thursday) that it will UNCONDITIONALLY STAND WITH THE UNITED STATES, and will support it's ally in the event war is brought upon Iraq, and this support is WITH OR WITHOUT any additional, new United Nations Resolution.
The statement said that time has run out for Iraq to disarm, the US will be supported by Japan, and the US-Japan alliance will be in place.
Japan will note in it's statement, coming up shortly, that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction, has been told time and again to eliminate them, they have not done so, the US may move to take action, and since the continued possession of WMD by Iraq is unacceptable, Japan has made the official decision they will follow whatever the USA does in this situation. They state that Iraq is only strengthened by the positions put forth by France, Germany and Russia, as it delays Iraqi compliance with the UN resolutions.
Japan noted that action on Iraq is liable to occur in the early hours of an upcoming morning in Iraq, therefor, noting international time differences, Japan will be the first major democracy in the world to issue a statement on the hostilities; and in this sense, it is readying itself for a quick, strong message of US support by Prime Minister Koizumi.
Japan is citing UN Resolutions 1441, 678 and 687 as reason enough for it now to support the United States in the event of war. In addition, it says it wants no division between the United States and Japan with the current, increasing threats from neighbor North Korea, so it will fortify wherever possible the existing US-Japan military alliance.

Even though we nuked them twice, they appreciated our generous and charitable occupation and rebuilding of their society.
This balances off the ingrates, France and Germany.

Is it OK if I buy a Japanese car now?

Japan is getting ready for North Korea.

I think it may be time for that age old nagging guilt, for buying a Japanese product, be finally excized from the collective conscience of America. Especially the older people who remember WWII.
Lets all start buying Japanese, and leave the German and Chinese stuff on the shelf.

The Japanese understand the threat posed by a rogue like N.Korea in their neighborhood and the necessity to have the big dog on their side in opposing N. Korea. The U.N. is totally impotent to deal with threats like N.Korea, as proven by their frog-led appeasement program in dealing with the demonic Saddam. Japan sees the coming axis of world power that will have an irrelevant U.N. squeaking on the sidelines while the big dog and her allies deal with the threats, one by one.

AIT,
What is not said in the press release but completely undersood is the following:
...the Government of United States of America will UNCONDITIONALLY STAND WITH JAPAN, and will support it's ally in the event war is brought upon the Korean pennisula and its environs, and this support is WITH OR WITHOUT any additional, new United Nations Resolution.
That's how true alliances work. France & Germany take note.

I don't know about honor.
However, the sooner we take care Iraq, the sooner we are able to put the screws to the North Koreans.
Maybe their intentions are honorable, me thinks not.
