With the capture of top al Qaeda terrorist Khalid Shaikh Mohammed (known as "KSM"), getting him to disgorge the contents of his brain quickly and truthfully is critically necessary before his network has a chance to vanish undercover.
What, then, would the most efficient and effective form of interrogation be? In 1995, the Philippine State Police captured an al Qaeda agent. They knew he was planning some terrorist act, but didn't know what. So they tortured him

You misunderstand my post. I think the idea is great up to the point of execution without a fair trial.

Something Chinese and repetitive might be more safe, perhaps a Yoko Ono/Phillip Glass collaboration."
I was thinking more along the lines of a continuous playing of "Barbra Streisland's Greatest Hits". Over and Over and Over again.

I believe you are confusing the MRI with a PET scan (positron Emission Tomography) using radioactive glucose to image the brains active areas.
To: CHICAGOFARMER
I don't really think the respirator is needed.
Just asking him questions and showing him selected images and text will reveal plenty of truth via the MRI. He has no defense against his brain waves registering whether he knows anything about this or that image; this or that idea or info presented in the text.
Someone else suggested nausea via sound waves whenever the interrogator was absent. Might be somewhat additionally useful but I think it's unnecessary.

What ever you say. I just reposted this thread.
I almost purchased an MRI ten years ago. The image part is just part of the process to me.
But thanks for the insite to this method.

We're at war. They found tons of evidence on this guy and are taking the appropriate steps to save many innocent lives.
No time to do otherwise right now. The trial will follow.

ok that's nasty and inappropriate to post on a board where teenagers also frequent. Yeah, I agree. It was tasteless and went over the line. I guess I was in a bad mood or something at that moment. I'd edit it if I could.
