OPERATION INFINITE FREEP Univ. of Tenn. Counter-Protest

We had an awesome time today, and really made an impact on the mood of the event. The cheers from the antis seemed to decrease, especially toward the end, as they listened to what we had to say and considered the truth. I think that most of the antis out here aren't really all that committed, nor are they well informed. It might not take much to push many into neutrality or better.
The response from passers-by, and even some anti-war protesters was thoughtful and most often cheerful. The College Republicans were out in force, and another FReeperette and I let them know about us. Our CR chapter is really starting to mobilize, and there is HUGH potential for growth. We also had several veterans and reserve personel on the side of the Light to help out.
Great job to all who participated, and let's continue to ensure that the Dark Side does NOT monopolize the debate over America's survival!

I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF PROF NOLT was doing this on OUR DIME? We pay him to teach not demonstrate.
wate.com
Philosophy professor John Nolt told the cheering crowd that America's "addiction" to oil is driving this threat of war. While student Megan Jackson says it will be fought to benefit Wall Street.
MBA student and Gulf War veteran Lee Hammond says the protesters have a right to demonstrate, but he says they are misguided to minimize the danger from Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein.
Middle Tennessee State University students both for and against war with Iraq also rallied Wednesday on the Murfreesboro campus.
About 200 people took part in the peace demonstration in front of the student center. They waved signs reading "Drop Bush Not Bombs" and "Tuition Not Ammunition." A woman dressed as the Statue of Liberty led the crowd, singing, "If you're happy and you know it, bomb Iraq."
About 50 other people nearby chanted "U.S.A." and waved signs like "Six Flags Over Iraq Coming Soon."
Joining students were some faculty members and a group called Veterans for Peace.
The peace demonstration concluded with a march to Congressman Bart Gordon's office in downtown Murfreesboro where the group presented a petition against war.

Was prof nolt or any of the other profs there taking a vaccation day? A personal unpaid leave day or what? Enquiring minds want to know. IF he was being paid by the taxSERFS then we should DEMAND reimbursement. After all we are in a budget crunch and can ILL afford to pay OVER paid profs to demonstrate on our dime.
