As you all know Anti-American Danny Glover is doing MCI phone commercials.
Today I got a call from a telemarketer, and it went like this...


Telemarketer: Hi this is Susan from your local MCI neighborhood, and I was calling to see if you would like to try MCI.

Me: MCI?

Telemarketer: Yes this is Susan, and from your local neighborhood MCI, and we would like to know if you would like talk to you about switching your phone service.

Me: Ohhhh yes. I've seen the commercials with Danny Glover.

Telemarketer: Yes!!

Me: I don't think I'll be buying anything from MCI anytime soon! Danny Glover is an idiot! CLICK!!!!

I had the very same thought about MCI when I saw those Danny Glover commercials. We've got to stop letting these Hollywood radicals maintain two personas -- one on screen (mainstream) and one off (leftist). Let's hope your comment to the telemarketer hits home.

Just the fact that you uttered the word "yes" during the conversation may mean that you are now with MCI. I wish I was joking, but I'm not. You might want to verify that were not "slammed".

Good idea. For a split second there I wish we weren't on the no-calling list in Texas. But only for a split second. Wish I could give it to the telemarketers and not get their calls a the same time.

The sad part was that we're all "As long as you have Danny Glover shilling your product and making anti-american statements, we wont be back." and the girl was all "We have Danny Glover as a spokesman??" She had no idea.

I had MCI too and cancelled and told them it's because of Glover. I asked the operator if there have been a lot of cancellations because of this issue. She couldn't say, but she implied that there was.

I was about to say the same thing.....I'd bet that "Slammatization" has indeed taken place, since it sounds as if it got 'confirmed'.

Our phone number is unlisted and we seldom get telemarketing calls anymore.
When we do, I have a bullhorn handy to answer them with. :)
