Mansoor Ijaz tells Fox & Friends, "Capture of OBL Only Days or HOURS Away"

Steve Doocey said on Fox this morning that he had just gotten off the phone with Mansoor Ijaz, the Pakistani-born American who has excellent connections to Pakistan, and that Ijaz said that the info they are extracting from the Sheik means that we are days, if not "hours," away from capturing OBL. They have traced his movements; they know where his wives & some kids are (Iran, where they are being "protected"), and think OBL even slipped out of the country and went to Bali prior to that bombing, traveling mostly by water.

Further, last night on O'Reilly, Ijaz also said that he has no doubt that we are using "whatever means necessary" to extract info from the Sheik. O'Reilly said "including torture?" Ijaz said, "Yes."

Ijaz is rich, he doesn't need Fox. He is an heir to shipping interest, went to MIT, is a very smart cookie. And loyal, a openly contemptuous of Islamic terrorists.

Ijaz has been saying OBL was alive and hiding in the hills between Pak. and Af. all along, and still I was sure that he was dead.

There was a guy on Imus this morning (ex green beret that had voluntarily fought with the northern alliance in Afghanistan) that said the Afghanis have learned from the russians about torture. They line the captives up and ask the first one, "Where is Osama?"

"I don't know." They shoot him and go to the next guy, "Where is Osama?"

"I saw him two weeks ago in Tora Bora."

"Not good enough." and they shoot him.

He seemed to indicate it was a rather convincing manner of getting these terrorists to talk, you just couldn't believe everything they tell you.

I disagree, OBL is too much of a coward to have the guts to off himself.

I have not read through the whole thread so it may have been mentioned already but after Sheik was captured he was cited as being one of the sources providing information that prompted the rise to orange alert. From my recollection he was captured more than a week after we raised the alert status and I think some Freepers mentioned it on another thread. This raises the speculation that we are refraining from announcing capture immediately to extract info and break up sleeper cells before they can act.

It would make a lot of sense with OBL.

That's what I see happening. It's a problem. A public trial would be as you describe. A "star chamber" trial would incur attack from the Media as would a military tribunal and execution. I prefer the latter option myself, but I don't know the legalities of the situation.

I figured it out. I guess they are trying to rattle sleeper cells by saying the OBL capture is near. They want the sleeper cells to get in a race as to who can betray the others fastest. Its every man for himself.

Directly, no. However, there is such a thing as momentum.......and I believe it would reinforce the image of the "invincibility" of the US military / intelligence apparatus. Look at the impact on West Bank terror outfits, today's horrific bombing aside. FNC has been reporting that there is great fear among the Pallies that they'd better settle down for a while or they'll be next after Saddam and OBL.

Even when we catch Osama, that is if we already haven't or if he indeed is already worm food, I don't think we would announce for quite some time. It wouldn't make any sense to, since it would only encourage the short-sighted to say "ok we've got him, let's bring the troops home."

I guess I would be considered in the minority, but I believe OBL is alive. With that being said, remember what was said on the latest tape: That he anticipated his death this year and that he would die in the belly of the eagle or something like that? My thoughts are that Mohammed was caught sometime ago and that we have been on the trail of many suspects since then, then they let out the news of his capture. OBL is one of those suspects and he knows it. He is not going to allow his capture, but thinking it imminent, will try to go out in a spectacular way, in the belly of the eagle (America or Americans). I pray this does not happen. May God protect all!
