I guess I would be considered in the minority, but I believe OBL is alive. With that being said, remember what was said on the latest tape: That he anticipated his death this year and that he would die in the belly of the eagle or something like that? My thoughts are that Mohammed was caught sometime ago and that we have been on the trail of many suspects since then, then they let out the news of his capture. OBL is one of those suspects and he knows it. He is not going to allow his capture, but thinking it imminent, will try to go out in a spectacular way, in the belly of the eagle (America or Americans). I pray this does not happen. May God protect all!

Let's just speculate....suppose we've captured OBL, heck, even a few weeks ago...got him and his retinue..killed the others....would we announce it? so the other top AQ don't know if he's dead or not....it's better for us, they're running around, and we're interrogating OBL..heck, maybe OBL gave up the guy they just bagged.......

My interpretation is that the al-Qaeda minions who are faking up these tapes realize that they are less effective than a faked-up glorious demise (i.e. make a big boom somewhere and claim that Osama set it off in person).
