Steve Doocey said on Fox this morning that he had just gotten off the phone with Mansoor Ijaz, the Pakistani-born American who has excellent connections to Pakistan, and that Ijaz said that the info they are extracting from the Sheik means that we are days, if not "hours," away from capturing OBL. They have traced his movements; they know where his wives & some kids are (Iran, where they are being "protected"), and think OBL even slipped out of the country and went to Bali prior to that bombing, traveling mostly by water.
Further, last night on O'Reilly, Ijaz also said that he has no doubt that we are using "whatever means necessary" to extract info from the Sheik. O'Reilly said "including torture?" Ijaz said, "Yes."

It could be an attempt to make him move and expose himself.
You are more than likely correct. Also, the more times we put this out, it will disguise the REAL leak when it comes and we actually DO know where he is. The 'Cry Wolf' syndrome.

Pakistani-born American One nitpick: Mansoor Ijaz is a native-born American. He was born in Florida and grew up in Virginia. His father was a Pakistani immigrant, and a physicist.

Ijaz is a Muslim. Just not a fundamentalist one.

If it included pulling out body hair hair by hair, they'd be able to get quite a bit of info out of the guy.*snort coffee | nose > keyboard

"Boy, wouldn't that shut the Dems mouths. How many have said on national TV that we don't need to be in Iraq until we capture OBL?"
I wish. OBL's capture or verified death will just cause the dims to turn up the volume on Plan B: "What did Saddam ever do to us? How much is Iraq going to cost? There is no proof, yada, yada, what about the children? yada, yada."
And "since we now have OBL we can stop spending all this money on anti-terror and intel programs and get back to spending it on vote buying."

Has this guy ever predicted anything, or is he just there to explain it all afterwards?

To the pain means the first thing you will lose will be your feet below the ankles. Then your hands at the wrists. Next your nose. They're going to bring in Michael Jackson's plastic surgeon?

Dim playbook:
When you criticize everything the oppostion does and believe in nothing, switching gears or attack topics is seamless.

HA HA HA i forgot that film....and yep whata way to go...
i am also reminded of a television discussion i saw between a western psychologist and an afghan tribesman after sept 11 from the north of afghanistan..it went something like this...
western psychologist: what we should do is arrest him and show him over a long prison sentence that he was wrong and by doing so conver tthe followers that we are not a barbaric people..etc etc etc
afghan tribesman: no, what you should do is behead him and put his head on a pike and tie it to a humvee and drive to every village in afghanistan to prove he is dead. tie his carcass to the back of the humvee...then you should take his carcass, wash it in pigs blood after defiling it and wrap it in pigs skin and bury it in an unknown place after several weeks. let it be known that is what is happening....
i am not joking this is roughly what he said....as you can imagine it was a slight disagreement on tactics...
now i am not saying we should...but it would sure screw up the 72 virgins later on...certainly 72 virgins screaming 'to the pain' ouch...

In a male-dominated culture, such as where this guy was raised in, phsychological torture is pretty darned easy...
First, he needs bathing, delousing, etc... The process is quite simple really. You order him to disrobe. When he refuses, you disrobe him, making it appear as if it's so simple a task that a one-armed man could do it - make him feel like a child...
Then, ya bring out the fire hose, and soak him with cold water for several minutes. And when he is, shall we say, 'shriveled', you bring in the "infidel" women to laugh at him and mock him... In fact, placing women who know how to kick a$$ in charge of his 'care and feeding' wouldn't hurt either... add to that the constant 'time deprevation' over the course of several days and soon you have a de-masculined male who has been culturally broken...
THEN the fun starts...
But, maybe that's just me... ;0)

Dunnigan and others said that the reward money was NOT very useful because no one would live long enough to spend it, and also because they just cannot fathom $10 million. It's beyond them.

I think we are in serious trouble - Khalid looks a LOT like John Belushi. And we thought he was dead for years. At this rate, OBL might end up being Hitler or Torquemada...
To: xJones
>Um, me too. The old bugger has been awfully quiet for someone who always loved to grandstand on videos.
So lets say OBL doesn't want his ugly face shown. Why doesn't he make a quality tape with clear, direct and unambiguous references to current events? He's dead. However, I don't understand the disinformation goal in this speculation that his capture is near.
