Outstanding!!

That had to completely piss off the Rat power machine and the Sheryl Crow throne sniffers - they tried so very hard to keep this event from happening. Wish I could have been there.

Wecome to FreeRepublic!

My first FReep was last weekend, at the Orlando Rally for America which was put on by the local Clear Channel station (540 WFLA). We got about 2,000 for that one. I've been listening to Glen Beck promote the Cleveland rally, and heard all about how the Rat City Council and their allies in the music industry tried to squash your rally by denying you a venue. I guess THAT backfired in big way (heh heh heh).

Hey everyone,
Went to the rally with my wife and had a great time. The best part of the rally had my wife in tears as Glenn Beck was describing the Vietnam Vet who came back to the states thinking he was a hero, but only to be hissed and spat at in the airport. The vet spent 10 years wondering if he was a hero or not. Glen choked up telling this story and the crowd was very attentive when they chanted "HERO!!"as the vet stepped out on to the stage.

Local news coverage was pretty good but Channel 3 did erk me a little by calling Glen Beck 'a contravesial radio host' but didnt back that up with any proof.

I just joined FreeRepulic.com after seeing all the signs at the rally. I'll be visiting more often now.

I found a local video from San Antonio's rally on  WAOI here.

This drew 8,000 people and Houston had another at the same time with 10,000.  A pretty good report.
