(BLACKED-OUT, UNDER-ESTIMATED) MASSIVE PRO-USA RALLY IN S.KOREA ON SATURDAY: VIDEO LINK!!!

A massive, pro-American, anti-Kim Jong il rally was held yesterday (Saturday, 1 March 2003) in Downtown Seoul, Korea. Pro-American signs and American flags were everywhere to be seen. Anti-Kim Jong-il slogans and burning North Korean flags were also the order of the day.
There were estimates by the police and organizers of upwards of 300,000 people. The South Korean press and Fox TV says 100,000 turned out Saturday.
But the mainstream IDIOTIC U.S. PRESS, particularly CNN and photo reports still viewed on Yahoo News, continue both the blatant lie from their earlier reporting that the pro-USA rally saw only 20,000-30,000 South Koreans attend ("mostly old and conservative", hopelessly-slanted CNN snarled) and also, generally speaking, English-language foreign press coverage of this massive pro-American event in South Korea has been extremely subdued.
Here is the URL to a 50-second report on Japanese TV Fuji News:
http://news.tbs.co.jp/newseye/tbs_newseye707887.html
(There is also the link, above.)
You will have the choice of two streams each for Real Audio and Windows Media Player. A good high elevation panorama scan of the South Korean crowd in front of Seoul City Hall, which was still growing at the time, (as in the photo, above) is available.
Why isn't such a demonstration shown in the USA more widely? Isn't known that this is nearly the fourth major rally of this kind in South Korea in the last month, that other pro-USA rallies have taken place in other cities, and that anti-US rallies run by co-opted Marxist students and labor groups have been steadily declining in turnout?

... but I never saw this. hmmm....The question is why? There is only one answer I can come up with.
They want to get Bush out real bad in 2004. By showing anti-American SK's and not pro-American SK's, it shows Bush lacking insight .
If it emboldens the NK's to attack... so be it. Bush will look asleep at the helm.
The hell with our troops and what is responsible and right... just get Bush out.

Come on, we all know the press has to protect their agenda! If Gore had won, then only pro-administration rallies would have been reported. But since a Republican won....
I have not heard anything on the news about all the pro-US rallys here recently; yet every tiny anti-US rally is reported as important.

WOW!!!!
Kudos to the South Korean Freepers!!!

Sorry, the American mainstream press cannot find time to cover this story of international significance.
They have to do 2 minutes of "news" about Bill Clinton being called for Jury Duty.

Have NO doubt that rank-and-file South Koreans appreciate what the US has done and is doing to protect their freedoms and provide a safe environment which has allowed them to thrive (unlike their filthy, poverty-stricken, starving neighbors to the North). Of course, as we now know, it isn't "hip" to support a Republican president, so the major media outlets will simply downplay or outright ignore this.
F**k 'em. We have the Internet, FNC, and talk radio.

I can't get to your link, but I don't know if that's because of my ISP or they took it down (I suspect the latter, as news.tbs.co.jp loads fine). Thanks for the pics and report, I will pass them on but know that the socialists in charge of the media here won't even acknowledge that most people support the US. Thanks.

I get this also and I'd love to see this clip. Can someone send this to FoxNews - maybe Tony Snow will show it this morning.

I'm going to the store to get some coffee and look at the front page of Washington Post. My bet is that the post will not be reporting much about this.

Holy Cow!
I'm disappointed that FOX didn't give this more coverage -- only a tiny snippet. The rally makes sense. Koreans, despite the problems with the US military presence, aren't going to forget what we did for them.

Not only did this story not make the front page, but was ignored by the Washington Post.
