Please accept our apology

At the end of the fantastic rally in San Antonio they had an Iman- the word was spelled for the crowd- give a benediction. The Iman was obvuiously not for military action in Iraq, and during the benedictrion prayed for the womem and children of Iraq! This is fine to pray for people everywhere, but this rally was specifically for the US troops and US president. The rally was soooooo awesome, but it had to be politically correct. It put a damper on the rally for me. Do you think I am over reacting? Can't we just support our troops and president without having to be poitically correct?

Hate to say so but I don't see the justification for ZOTing this newbee either.

a known IP address would be an acceptable reason but the user did not criticize FreeRepublic.com.

I read the original post before she was banned and then went back and re-read after ZOT appeared just to make sure I didn’t miss anything. She asked about the PC or appropriateness if you prefer, of an Iman praying for Iraqi women and children at a Support our Troops rally.

I guess I'm missing some aspect of this post that warrants banning the user.

It was a troll post and a poor vanity wrapped together. Both are reasons for the ZOT.

I don't know enough about poster to say the ban was overstepping, but the mods do.

I trust their judgement and I assume they will fix it if it turns out to be in error.

sure looked like a kiddie troll to me.

I'm afraid that I don't understand the reason for the ZOT either.

It seems as if the poster attended a pro-troops / pro-president rally they enjoyed. This poster later became discouraged when an Imam was given the stage for PC reasons.

So from this I gathered that:

1. the poster is pro-troops / pro- president.
2. dislikes PC BS
I've recently gorged my self on sweet&sour chicken and fried rice and might be suffering MSG hallucinations but this seems like a typical post I've seem from many freepers. Am I missing something?

LOL! you may be right, but I cannot defend anyone who spells that bad.

It's funny, but most of the bad spellers have been zapped. It must be a socialist trait.

What I don't understand is why are newbies allowed to post articles right away? Is it to provide ZOT entertainment? It wasn't always this way. When I sighed up over a year ago, there was a "probation period" during which newbies were allowed to post replies to existing threads but were not allowed to post new articles for a certain amount of time or before participating in existing threads. Why was this policy revoked? It makes sense to me.
