I got a good laugh from your comment. I had an opposite problem with bullies in the school yard. I was the tallest kid in my class. Therefore, when the class ahead of mine wanted to put my class in its place, the methodology was to have their tough guy take a go at me.
I still remember with bemusement a dust-'em-up with Clark Grimes in the playground of Roland Park Elementary School in Baltimore, Maryland. As I recall, it was a draw.
