Activists stage Million American March in support of American Middle East foreign policy
Peace-through-Strength proponents from Western Washington will conduct a march through downtown Seattle on Saturday, March 1, from Denny Playfield at 11:00 then combine a rally in support of American foreign policy with a protest against the effects of the "Peace Movement," and its validation and dignifying by the news media.
Marchers will assemble at Denny Playfield at 11:00 am and begin a march down Fifth Avenue and across Westlake Park on their way to Second Avenue and the Jackson Federal Building. The marchers will gather at the Jackson Federal Building with other Rally Supporters at 12:00 to begin networking and grassroots and organizational planning. A press conference will also be held at the Federal Building to unveil the organization's coalition and outline its plans to oppose, during the Iraq crisis, the World Workers Party, the Democratic and Socialist Parties and even elements of the Republican Party, who chronically obstruct America's Homeland Defense efforts. The coalition decries such political efforts, which destabilize United States military efforts and jeopardize American fighting men who may find themselves in the Iraqi conflict.
The "Million American March" (MAM) is organized every two years by King County Conservative activists to both call attention to the anti-Liberal side of the "debate of the day," and to satirize Liberals' use of "Million" person marches that often involve fewer than mere dozens of Liberal extremists.
"It's a mistake to identify those with the 'No Iraq War' signs as 'Peaceniks,' " said co-organizer Brandon Swalley. They aren't pro-peace; they are simply appeasers who are also anti-Bush," said Swalley. "If they were truly for peace, they would be with us. Instead, they are associated with all of the traditional enemies of our country and the haters of democracy," Swalley said.
"The media has allowed this handful of drop-outs, salaried professional protestors and their Leftist suppliers to define the argument as one of pacifism versus Bush," contended fellow organizer, Mark Roberts. "But," continued Roberts, "anyone who can see through a ladder can see that Saddam's disarmament is a better guarantor of peace than sitting around waiting for him to equip Al Queda with a couple of hundred nuclear briefcase bombs."
Rudolf Kantu, co-organizer of the last Million American March in 2000, does not want to stop at waving American flags and standing in support of American troops. "I want to shame the Leftists in the eyes of the nation," Kantu said. "The only way to do that," reasons Kantu, "is to invalidate the "peace" arguments and to expose their proponents as the self-loathing enemies of the state that they are," Kantu said. "They're like the 'Old Europeans' in that the only people that they loathe more than Americans...are themselves," said Rudolf Kantu, rally speaker and Fifth Legislative District advocate of Second Amendment rights. "In that way-that is, that they can't find anything redeeming about themselves-- I guess they and I are in agreement, " said Kantu.
"You're a better man than I, Gunga Din."
I kno-o-o-o-o-o-o-w! Vive la difference! Just quoting a little Rudyard Kipling.
Libertina, You are doing great and keep me on your ping list. Mary
