Send free faxes to encourage support for new immigration moratorium bill ======================================================
Go to: http://www.NumbersUSA.com/fax
The bill is: H.R. 946, Mass Immigration Reduction Act of 2003, introduced by Rep. Tancredo (R-CO) today.
The language is very similar to Tancredo's moratorium bill in the last Congress: HR 2712. It would cut annual legal immigration from the 1 million of the latest year to around 300,000 for five years. It would do this by eliminating chain migration of extended adult family members and the visa lottery. It would also cut out nearly all permanent green cards for skilled workers and would cut refugee admissions by more than half.
Most of you on the Action Buffet (based on your interest survey), you will see:
Action Buffet fax 226 (IN OVERALL NUMBERS TOO HIGH ROOM):
"Immigration Moratorium: Urge your U.S. Representative to support bill cutting legal immigration by two-thirds"
Action Buffet fax 226A (IN OVERALL NUMBERS TOO HIGH ROOM):
"Thank Representative(s) from your state for cosponsoring bill cutting legal immigration by two-thirds"
Co-sponsors at this moment are:
Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-CO) Rep. Nathan Deal (R-GA) Rep. Virgil Goode (R-VA) Rep. Steve King (R-IA) Rep. John Duncan (R-TN ) Rep. San Johnson (R-TX) Rep. Charlie Norwood (R-GA)
We will continually update our recipients lists as new Members sign on to this bill so you can thank them as they do.
America has grown from 203 million in 1970 to 290 million today -- largely because of bloated immigration numbers.
The Census Bureau projects that if Congress does not reduce immigration, we will swell, choke and congest to well more than 400 million in 2050.

I so agree! But did you ever see him interviewed? He states over and over again, that he has been told point blank 'never to darken the door of the White House' by Karl Rove. Now this guy has GUTS because he believes in his cause, even though he knows he's on the 'outed' list. GO TANCREDO!! I'm so grateful we have someone who believes and fights for what he believes in and in this country...

Hope I'm not intruding, but I'd like to clarify for you:
Basically, this is what TT is proposing in a nutshell, and it's what we all want:
NO MORE BENEFITS FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS AT OUR TAXPAYER EXPENSE!! Of course, the specific points must be spelled out and the libs will pick it all apart, but in essence, Tom Tancredo is a hero for our citizens not to bankroll illegals. Also, deportation enforcement!!! Probably not a ghost's chance in hell in getting by 'open borders GW', but we gotta keep it in the news. Hope I helped.

Do you think that this bill has a chance of passing? Do you think that it is better to send free faxes or to write a real paper-and-ink letter?

Well, after New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson's visit with El Prez. Fox, New Mexico DemocRats have decided to OK giving them all (illegal/undocumented aliens) state drivers licenses. So now they can register to vote... as DemocRats. I presume that most of them will not have heard of Miguel Estrada anyway.

I presume that most of them will not have heard of Miguel Estrada anyway. Their 'handlers' will just tell them Estrada is on the side of the evil Yanqui Imperialists and that will be the end of that.

And I see that Mexico is now on our side concerning Iraq. Anybody know what El Presidente has promised them to buy their blessings? Social Security benefits for illegal aliens that use stolen social security numbers or they just buy them on the street.

This is okay, but the problem is with ILLEGAL ALIENS. That is correct, and the main cause of illegal immigration is the MEXICAN GOVERNMENT.

Illegals are a problem. However the total number of immigrants is also one. The more immigrants there are, the harder it is to assimilate them and the easier it is for illegals, criminals, and terrorists to hide among them.
