[history]
Opponents of a U.S.-led war against Iraq bombarded Senate offices and the White House on Wednesday by fax, phone and e-mail in what organizers billed as the first ``virtual march'' on Washington.
Time constraints, child care, commuting conflicts and work schedules make attending demonstrations difficult for many people. But the ``virtual march,'' coordinated by the Win Without War coalition, was accessible to anyone with a phone or a modem, demonstrating how technology continues to influence the way protests are orchestrated.

'Virtual march'.. Ha!!!
More like 'Virtual Anarchy' ..
.. said Linda Carmichael, 57, who lives in Willow Glen. ``I haven't gone to any of the anti-war marches, mostly out of laziness. This seemed to be a wonderful way to have my voice heard without having to do a lot of work. But it ended up taking more time then I thought. I had to keep hitting redial.''What dedication to the cause. Dolt!

Sir SuziQ told me he read on FR last night that there were a few people who sent thousands of those e-mails, so those numbers certainly don't represent the numbers of people who may be opposed. How did the 'electronic storm' go? Does anyone know?

...400,000 pre-registered. Amazing how that number grows everytime they report it. 100,000, 120,000, 200,000, 400,000, etc.

"but believes that a pre-emptive military invasion of Iraq will increase the likelihood of terrorist attacks and damage the economy."
PRE-EMPTIVE? PRE-EMPTIVE? Will somebody tell this idiot what happened on Sept. 11, 2001? And tell him who backed this group to the hilt? PRE-EMPTIVE. PRE=EMPTIVE. If this would be a PRE-EMPTIVE strike, then the U.S. PRE-EMPTIVELY STRUCK THE JAPANESE MILITARY!
