I'm sure Mr. Rogers would still want someone to say,

"It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood."

Thank you, Mr. Rogers. I know you had a positive influence on my three sons.

Wow! This news really hit me hard.

He was such a big part of my TV watching as a tot. The Electric Company, Mr. Rogers, Captain Kangaroo and Romper Room.....

My sincere thanks to Fred and prayers to his family.

I woke up at 4:30 am with a LOT of work to do.

Now I have to debate whether or not to tell my 4 year old.

I'm guessing not.

It's not just a Burgh thing, but it's particularly acute locally.

I hadn't thought of Mr. Rogers in such a long time, yet I had tears in my eyes after I heard on the radio that he had passed away. I grew up watching him. I remember fighting with my older brother over the tv because of him. He wanted to watch Gilligan and I just had to watch Mr. Rogers.
Mr. Rogers, God Bless you and thanks for the memories.

Sorry...misunderstanding. I live in Pittsburgh and work in the media so we crossed paths seeral times. And as I mentioned Jack Bogut, the morning man on WJAS Am 1320 was his VERY good frioend. I have to break the news to him thismorning most likely. Mr Rigers was also a Presbyterian Minister and a very good friend on my minister so he was at our church several times.

Plus I grew up with him...

Everything i've ever heard about Mr. Rogers is that he was the same person in real life as he was on TV, just as pleasant. Few like him are left.

I'm sure he will enjoy entertaining children in Heaven.

God bless you, Mr. Rogers. I always watched your show when I was little. I'll never forget that video about how they made crayons.
