I spent the last half hour trying to call the White House. When I found out TODAY was the day of the liberal pro-Saddam Coddler "virtual protest", I decided to let the President know there were people out here in America that SUPPORT him.

Well, I got lots of "silence" when I dialed the number--evidently the phone lines are jammed. When I didn't get "silence", I got a busy signal.

Finally, I got through, after about a half hour. I didn't leave an automated message, I waited for an operator. When the lady finally came on, she asked where I was calling from. I told her, then said, "I know a lot of people are trying to tie up the phone lines and oppose the President, but I support him 100%. I want him to know even though there are some jerks out there, I want him to know most of us think he's doing a great job!"

The operator sounded VERY HAPPY, and told me it was nice to hear that, and that my comments were appreciated!

I could tell it had ALREADY been a long morning for her--and that she had been really ripped into by the American-hating left. My words seemed, for a moment, to be a salve.

I didn't call, as the lines would be jammed. Last week I wrote letters to the president, vice president, Colin Powell, and Donald Rumesfeld to express my support, then wrote letters to Martin Sheen and his crew to express my displeasure with their actions.

Got through on 202-456-1414 with only a couple of minutes wait. Told the operator that I fully supported the Presidents plan to preserve peace in our time and that of our children. And that the President should not be concerned with the chuckleheads who are opposing him.
