Southeast Raleigh High School in Raleigh, North Carolina has invited anti-war activist Lenore Yarger (member of ANSWER and Not In My Name crowd and human shield who went to Iraq) to speak to students Wednesday afternoon. She was invited by Social Studies Department with no one to balance her comments.

Here in South Florida, my nephew was pulled out of his Social Studies class (high school and without parents consent) to attend an anti-war rally requested by ONE student and her parents.

Needless to say, we are appalled and my sister just requested a meeting with the principal and the regional supervisors. Unless we get very, very good answers we are taking this to the top. How dare they?

At least let kids know that her organization supports the brutal Stalinist regime of North Korea, which imprisons 200,000 people mostly political prisoners and families of such in their labor camps and death camps.

I live in North Raleigh, we typically elect the most conservative members of the town council, etc.... by far.

I think you've confused us with Chapel Hill, Carboro, Durham, or Southeast Raleigh.
