I have written and called Graham and Nelson several times. They have been warned and I believe that is one of the reasons that Nelson changed his mind.

Fillibuster Schmillibuster. This is a joke. Get some gonads and make the Dems do a REAL fillibuster, or forget it.

"Frist is in hiding, does'nt want to get his hair messed up, or to appear as being a meanie by making dems stay round the clock."
I doubt that is true the Frist fears anything, but low key is the best play.
I hope the Pubbies do not fight with the 'rats because when the media plays the rats against the Pubbies we always lose. Republicans always get screwed when we take the rats head on. Remember when the Congress passed a budget in 95 but Clinton vetoed it twice? Polls showed Republicans got blamed. They punished us for fighting with Clinton in 96 when Belzabubba vetoed the budget again. Remember when Republicans didnt pass a budget in 98? We got beat up in the elections.
If the Republicans are smart they will smile and constantly talk about how they are trying very hard to work with the rats. They should smile and say, We feel confident that we can work out our differences. Nothing gets the rats riled up more. Let the rats rant and rave and say that Dubya is Evil. They cant figure out why their polls keep dropping. They have learned nothing from the 02 elections. Indeed they have learned nothing from 9-11.
America is watching the rats imploded. The American people continue to see the 'rats acting as obstructionist during a time of war. Why try to stop them?

>>This is good news, but I'd rather here it from Frist.
Sometimes, it's better for the guy at the top to let someone else be the "bad cop".

I bet Feinstein breaks and brings over the four additional votes prior to 24/7. Here's to great wishes.

Phi Kappa Mom posted this earlier on the Wow! thread:
Make the call!1
If you call Senator Frist office, they will transfer you to to the Majority Leader's comment line -- call that comment line and encourage Senator Frist to go 24/7 to make the RATs filibuster.
They are waiting for support for 24/7 and let's give it to them. Ask for the Senator Majority Leader's Comment line when you call the following:
(202) 224-3344
Maybe we should start calling Hispanic groups with our support as well and ask them to keep the pressure on.

I called and the lady was very nice; I also asked her to pass the message on to my GOP Senator and she said she would!

No need to turn up the heat too fast. When 2004 rolls around, the line will be: "While the nation stood on the brink of war, the Senate democrats when they weren't trying to obstruct the President on the war, were spending full time trying to prevent an outstanding Hispanic from even getting a vote."

Question: The Republicans and Democrats have under Lott an agreement for "Faux Filibusters," with no real floor time.
Are the Republicans going to rescind this, so that the Democrats can be observed babbling while the war starts?
