FREEPers, I have created the ultimate Estrada activism thread. On it you will find ways to contact Senators, newsspapers, radio/tv people, organizations etc. Go there and help support Estrada. Keep the thread bumped until we get him confirmed.

Leahy resents charges Republican charges that Dims opposing Estrada are anti-Hispanic.

Can't get much more thin-skinned than Leahy, I think. He can dish out real attacks, but can't take imaginary ones.

Defending his record against discrimination. Resents the attacks on his religion by Republican caucus.

The Republican Senators need to force the Senate to stay in session 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until the Democrats end their shameful Filibuster.

The idea of a "Gentleman's Filibuster" is a pile of Donkey Dung!

Now Senator Leahy is praising Estrada! What a pile of ......

Thanks for the link. That was an editorial, by the way, rather than an article (meaning that it represents the publicly espoused position of the editorial board of the Washington Post). When DemocRATs do not follow an editorial policy urged in a Washington Post editorial, that's a story.

I hope you don't mind that I used the Live Ping list on your thread! You already started it, so it can just be the live thread for today, if that's okay!

Leahy definitely wins the award for being the Senator who wastes the most Senate time defending himself.

Criminy!! How long does this bald twit get to speak. Somebody should pull the plug.

He's saying that Estrada only argued one case before the Supreme Court. The great state of Illinois has a new Attorney General who has less real experience than that!! Democrat Lisa Madigan.

Leahy is giving up the floor---he says.

Cesar Chavez would be rolling in his grave.

Cesar Chavez should be dug up and reinterred on ground where he could rest easier - like, North Korea or Cuba... maybe Angola, in a pinch...

Leahy's arguing that the D.C. Circuit is more important than the Supreme Court because it decides many more cases. That argument would apply to all U.S. circuit courts of appeals. I guess we're going to be seeing a lot of these judicial filibusters.
