Darryl Worley - Have You Forgotten

I hear people saying
We don’t need this war
But I say there’s some things worth fighting for
What about our freedom and this piece of ground
We didn’t get to keep them by backing down
Now they say we don’t realize the mess we’re getting in
Before you start to preaching let me ask you this my friend

Have you forgotten how it felt that day?
Too see your homeland under fire and her people blown away
Have you forgotten when those towers fell?
We had neighbors still inside going through a living hell
And you say we shouldn’t worry about Bin Laden
Have you forgotten?

They took all the footage off my TV
They said it’s too disturbing for you and me
It’ll just breed anger, it’s what the experts say
If it was up to me I’d show it everyday
Some say this country’s just out looking for a fight
Well after 9-11 man I’d have to say that’s right

Have you forgotten how it felt that day?
Too see your homeland under fire and her people blown away
Have you forgotten when those towers fell?
We had neighbors still inside going through a living hell
And you say we shouldn’t worry about Bin Laden
Have you forgotten?

I’ve been there with the soldiers who’ve gone away to war
And you can bet that they remember just what they’re fighting for

Have you forgotten all the people killed?
Yeah some went down like heroes in that Pennsylvania field
Have you forgotten about our Pentagon?
Yeah all those loved ones that we lost
And those left to carry on
Don’t you tell me not to worry about Bin Laden
Have you forgotten how it felt that day?
Too see your homeland under fire and her people blown away
Have you forgotten when those towers fell?
We had people still inside going through a living hell
And you say we shouldn’t worry about Bin Laden
Have you forgotten?
Have you forgotten? Oh
Have you forgotten?

A decent singer - his video for I Miss My Friend was also a tearjerker. I will listen to my favorite radio station in anticipation.

Country. You may have heard "I Miss My Friend", or seen the video, which is spectacular. Check out CMT for more info.

Didn't you just love I miss my Friend???? It was beautiful and now this song. This is the first I heard it though so I will be keeping an ear out for it on CMT or the radio. Those who care have not forgotten...it's the selfish ones who take this country for granted, feed off it and then turn on it.

Right. I had heard the song many times, but the first time I saw the video for I Miss My Friend, I thought it was nothing special - until the end! Boy, did I break down. My understanding of the lyrics never included that interpretation. It is powerful. I can't wait to hear this new song.

NEVER FORGET

1) During the 1990's...
...the Enemy Within HILLARY RODHAM -&- BILL CLINTON refused 3 Free Offers from the Sudan to bring OSAMA bin LADEN to an American Jail and Trial that would have spared us all the Attacks of Sept. 11th.

...Now why do you suppose they would do a thing like that...?

2) On September 11, 2001...
...Lifetime Lifesaving Hero RICK RESCORLA perished as Tower 2 came down on him while he was going back upstairs for his Final Sweep to save any stragglers after his already having saved 1,000's of lives that day.

*See St. RICK RESCORLA's Story on our .."WE WERE SOLDIERS ONCE and YOUNG".. website:

http://www.LZXRay.com

and then won't you compare his life to the one's of those responsible for his so unnecessarily Sudden Death...?

Thanks for posting this. I wish they'd replay the towers falling just before showing footage from peace protests. Maybe that footage would put the protests in the proper perspective and make people realize what beating Saddam is all about.

This tribute to "The Americans" by Gordon Sinclair in 1973 gets me. Where the heck are our friends now or ever? Listen to the audio...

Here is a short history of France, check out the Vichy Legacy, it seems to be repeating itself..

Yes, we do know what we're fighting for. Our Army encampments in Kuwait, near the Iraqi border, are named Camps New York, Washington and Pennsylvania.

You can hear the song at the link below. I'm not a country fan but I love the song anyway.

Great patriotic song bump - It expresses just what I've been asking lately: Has this country forgotten?...

I haven't forgotten! Thank you, American and British Soldiers and Coalition Forces, for what you are doing in Iraq! God is using you to set the real Iraqis free!
