Any FReepers watch "Blind Date"

"Blind Date," hosted by Roger Lodge, aires weeknights at 6:30p and 7:30p on TNN (channel 325 on DirecTV).

I sometimes watch it, mainly to see what cartoon graphics they're using on this particular episode.

My favorites, I guess, are:

The time when this guy asked the girl an embarrassing question, and cartoon sweat formed in her hair.

On another couple's date, the guy got so embarrassed that 'toon sweat came out of HIS bald head.

Anyway, do any FReepers out there watch BD? (I think it's also syndicated.)

I watch it if I accidentally flip to it because it is very funny. Whoever writes those blips during the date is a genius.

I went through a phase where I watched some of those shows a while back. After a while the novelty wore off.

Those captions are hilarious. The "this will happen" in 3, 2, 1 are exceptional! The graphics on the blind date show are one of the best uses of those I've every seen.

I'm not sure if you've seen it or not, but the pop-up music videos are clever as well.

My wife loves that show. It drives me nuts. I would rather watch something good on the History Channel

It is funny. Check it out when making a pit stop while surfing.

I remember one time on NBC's now canceled "Providence", where one of the characters went on BD and was set up with a guy from Texas. At one point during their date, he was naked and they hid his you-know-whats behind a map of TX, painted like the Lone Star flag. Hilarious.

(who admits to being jealous of the well built hunks on BD)

I don't watch the US "Blind Date", but when I was in the UK I watched their "Blind Date", hosted by Cilla Black. It was hilarious -- a much more raucous and interesting version of "'Love Connection' meets 'The Dating Game'". (For those of you who remember the '60s-era British female singers, yes she IS that Cilla Black.)

This show is my favorite guilty pleasure.

Do you remember the MTV movie awards show where they had a parody of it ? Robert Lodge had a 'special edition' of a blind date between Erin Brockovich and Commodus.

Fascinating when they have very, very beautiful women on. Either they are looking for sugar daddys or they are fed up with guys who treat them like objects.
