ADL: Accounts on net blaming Israel, Jews for Columbia's downing proliferating

NEW YORK - Conspiracy theories blaming Jews and Israel for the disintegration of NASA space shuttle Columbia last month are circulating the Internet at an alarming rate, the Anti-Defamation League said Wednesday.
The online hate speech, tracked by the ADL on Web sites, chat rooms, bulletin boards and e-mails, includes allegations the US and Israel destroyed the Columbia to divert attention from the Iraq conflict, that Israeli astronaut Ilan Ramon was a spy, and that Jews and Israelis were complicit in the shuttle's downing in order to gain sympathy for Israel.
"Even in times of tragedy for the American people, the anti-Semites and hatemongers never let up," said ADL national director Abraham Foxman.
The ADL's sources include a February 4 posting by author Gordon Thomas accusing Ramon of conducting secret military experiments in space, a February 17 article by Hong Kong journalist Yoichi Clark Shimatsu that accused the US and Israel of sabotaging the shuttle to ensure the crew's status as martyrs, and a message from radical British sheikh, Abu Hamza Al-Masri: "This is a divine message to the Israelis, saying that they are not welcome in space." Al-Masri made this comment to London-based daily Al Sharq Al-Awsat on February 4.

While I consider these ideas nutty, I did have one slightly outlandish thought myself...although not anti-Semitic like thopse above. That thought was regarding the possibility of Ilan Ramon being on the flight as a "payload specialist" in order to release an Israeli surveillance satellite into geostationary orbit above the Middle East.
I think my idea is not quite so nutty as the ones listed above, but still a long shot. Does the DOD have to reveal military missions that are performed by the shuttle?

Nah. Not necessary, Israel has the capability to do that all by itself. The payloads in the shuttle were harmless experiments, with the possible exception of one.
That one experiment was a "Palestinian student experiment" sponsored by the high-school where this Palestinian is a guest student. I don't know, at the moment what was in it. If I remember it was supposed to se some kind of chem experiment, but I'd have to go and have another look.
However, there are at least a couple of things pointing to a possible explosion: persistent rumours that the last word to be transmitted from the shuttle was a partial word that might be "bomb", and recently released data that nasa thought their sensors detected an explosion aboard.
Other really, really strange factoids include the animals (two deer and three cows) that are being quarantined under the control of a nasa veterinary with strange symptoms after "possibly having come near shuttle debris". That one is on public record on ProMed, as is the fact that Texas is now having the strangest flu season in recorded history with five different flu strains running simultaneously.
Oh yes. They tried to foist him off on Canada, and Canada has now declared he's unwanted, I believe. He's now trying to obtain refugee status there. He may have a problem, since when he ran off to the US he was screaming about not wanting anything more to do with Canada, ever :)).
With any luck, he goes back to Germany where he's wanted for desertion as well as his zundel-cr*p, hopefully to die extremely nastily in jail. Texoma and her team on "LibertyForum" think he'll be executed by the ZOG govt, of course ;).
Well, that's what you get where you have psychos massing :)).
Next thing you know they'll be turning desert land into truck farms.
