Donahue's Advertisers (list)

Tonight I took down a partial list of advertisers to the Phil Donahue program. Sorry I couldn't get them all (was doing two things at once again!).

Let the boycotts begin!

This will be the easiest boycott of my life. I don't use any of them (except Novell at work) - they all suck!

Boycotts are a waste of time, especially for a show that draws such a small audience.

I use Webex.com and Cingular and will continue to.

Yeah, but my husband has a Cingular cell phone, which we are planning to cancel anyway...will let them know while canceling that their advertising on Donahue was a MAJOR reason! LOL! ...

Aww, c'mon Sinkspur! Where's your spirit??? I like your "such a small audience" remark, but let's have a bit of fun with these guys! Even if you plan to keep these services, call 'em and tell them that you disapprove and will "have to think about" retaining them....:-)

FWIW.....I totally disagree with the entire concept. It's the money of MSNBC that is being wasted if they wish to put Donahue on the air. If it were taxpayer money that would be a different story........but I have no problem at all with they hiring whomever they please.

Yes, I agree that MSNBC can hire whomever they please, but likewise we have the right to express our views about their programs and their hosts. Just as it is their right to hire their choices, it is our choice to express our displeasure. We're not demanding that he get taken off the air, we are simply alerting the advertisers of the program about our views so that they may make their future decisions accordingly. That's what boycotts are all about. Please join us in free-market capitalism!
