Ohio is for Progressive Democratic Presidential Candidates..
Representative Marci Kapture (Democrat-Ohio) is letting it be known that she is interested in joining fellow Representative Richard Gephardt (Democrat-Missouri) in the 2004 Democratic Presdiential Primary Election field.
Both are members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus.
Kaptur said that 'it is not likely that she would get into the race formally, but is trying to get involved enough to get the top candidates to adopt her agenda.'
She said she is accepting speaking engagements in early primary states to talk about her pet issues.
She said 'people have been asking me' about running.

The word that comes to mind each time I hear one of these Dems. enter the primary field is......delusional. Are their egos that big that they honestly think they could become POTUS? I guess I've answered my own question and the answer is YES!

This lady is no progressive. She's a real socialist liberal. Her rating of 15 for lifetime (ACU) actually places her beneath that well-known republican socialist, Lincoln Chaffee who has a lifetime 24 or so.

Well, one thing this proves is that there are an awful lot of Democrats out there with monumental egos and delusions of grandeur. By the way, Bill Richardson (former Clinton shill and current gov. of NM) was on CNN again this morning being interviewed by Wolf Blitzer on foreign affairs. Blitzer was gushing about Richardson's "great" resume. Made me wonder if Richardson might throw his hat in the ring, if not for 2004, then for 2008 if George Dubya is not re-elected (perish the thought).

Ooops. Suffered a brain freeze while typing my post #18. Meant to say that Richardson might run for president in '08 if Dubya IS re-elected. Obviously, Richardson would not be likely to run against a fellow Dem in '08 should Dubya not be re-elected in '04.
