LONDON, Feb 16 (AFP) - A convoy of anti-war protestors ready to serve as human shields in the event of an attack on Iraq arrived in the Iraqi captial Sunday, the spokesman for the group Torben Franck said in London.
"More than seventy five members are now in Baghdad," he said. "They arrived safe and sound, if not somewhat exhausted by a journey which took eight days longer than planned."
Having started their 4,800-kilometer (3,000-mile) journey from London, the convoy was supposed to arrive in Baghdad on February 8. But the group faced a number of problems, including their bus breaking down in Italy on February 5.
A separate convoy of protestors is due to arrive in Baghdad on Monday, when 50 volunteers are to fly from London's Heathrow airport to Amman in Jordan.
More peace activists are due to fly out of London February 21.

The more, the merrier. I wish a plane load of these village idiots would leave the US for Iraq. Shortly after there arrival, let the bombing begin!

Title should read: Convoy of Fools with Blood on their Hands arrives to Protect a Murderous Dictator"
I like my title better.

I encourage them to assemble at anti-aircraft missile sites.

LOL! And, let the body parts fly!

Surely, Saddam knows that many of these ''shields'' are western intelligence agents. He might have to murder them all just to be sure. .... Pass it on.
To: HAL9000
If would be unfortunate if a CIA message detailing a Saddam assasination plot involving agents disguised as human shields were to fall into the hands of Iraqi intellegence.

Now they need to put a ring around Saddam's statute in the center of Baghdad so we can use that for target practice!

If I were the CIA, I'd have planted micro-GPS units on these people. Saddam will no doubt deploy them near targets whose military value makes them most likely to be blown up and these folks would make great homing beacons.

The only thing that could make it better is if the Not In Our Name Hollywood Saddamites are in the group when the missiles hit.

So - this is why we are waiting so long.

Are they americans? Wouldn't this action be
1. Aiding a foreign army or country, etc. of which the US views as enemy
2. A reason of which one's American citzenship would be revoked?

Watch someone depose Saddam and these fools try to take credit for it.

They arrived safe and sound... - they won't be going home that way!

I just hope the powers-that-be won't go soft and try to rescue those people.
