Someone else said they saw robins. None down here in Easton, but Mr. Flicker says, even in a white-out, suet with mealworms really keeps the body temperature up!

Great flicker picture!

All my feeders and suet baskets have been busy all day, but I've also been throwing seed on the snow-- especially under bushes. I have to keep tossing more out as it becomes buried.

However-- awhile ago, a Coopers Hawk swooped down and flew off as quickly, so I guess he found what he wanted. I know--- he's God's creature, too, but I usually root for the little guys. When the Cooper or Sharp-shinned come by they fly from perch to perch looking for a meal. This time, tho - he didn't wait.

I just saw a flock of robins last week here in West Mich. We got hit with a surprise snow storm last Tues.(some are calling it a blizzard, but I don't think the winds were sustained at 35mph) so I really feel for you all. Doesn't anyone out there have snowmobiles? Sometimes, it's the only way to get around.

It looks like you won't have to put up with the snow for too long, though. Temps later this week are supposed to be in the upper 30's and lower 40's for the Philly/NYC/Balt./D.C. area. You might want to look into getting the sand bags ready!!
