THIS is RIDICULOUS! (Operation 'Infinite Freep' Recruitment)

Posted on 02/15/2003 8:31:25 AM PST by Lunatic Fringe

Today, I am watching the television as the world goes mad. Millions are marching in opposition to the U.S., and where are the supporters of BUSH? Have pro-Freedom rallies even come CLOSE to the kind of support we are seeing from the left?

I am calling ALL Free Republic members to join together in a UNITED rally in all major cities in the United States. I am willing to organize a rally in Dallas, and would like to see a coordinated effort from true LEADERS in other cities.

Citizenship requires responsibility, and our country needs to see the support of the Silent Majority. We need to turn out high numbers in support of Freedom, not just a couple of dozen that might get on the local news. We need 25,000 in Dallas, 50,000 in Los Angeles, 250,000 in New York, 100,000 in Chicago, and dozens and dozens of smaller rallies around the country.

If you love America, speak up! Step forward! Be a leader! I'm calling for a MASSIVE rally to call for the Liberation of Iraq on March 1st!

289 million Americans showed their support for President Bush today by going about their lives. (slight rip from Scrappleface.com)

I don't think we need pro-war protests. Nobody wants to go to war. That leaves us with "necessary protests." Don't let the numbers fool you. Fox released their poll today saying 69% support Bush in this. And as Blair said today, even if there are a million demonstrators, it won't match the number of people Hussein has murdered.

and where are the supporters of BUSH?

We are home with our families, on 3-day skiing vacations or warm-weather get-aways, serving our communities, shopping to maintain the economy, worshipping in our own ways.

We are confident in our cause and in our President We are impressed by his advisors and appointments.

Oh, and of course, some of us are here, sharing it all on FR!!

No offense, but I think that is a cop-out.

Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, Thomas Paine, Samuel Adams, and Thomas Jefferson. These were industrious and fairly welathy and intelligent men who risked their fortunes and lives in defense of Freedom. To say that people who love Freedom by going about their lives may find themselves as surprised as the Roman citizens were when their great Empire fell.

Mrs. Powel of Philadelphia asked Benjamin Franklin, "Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?" With no hesitation whatsoever, Franklin responded, "A republic, if you can keep it."

Keep a Free Republic!

The vast majority of Americans do NOT support the organinzed pro-Saddam rallies.

Marching orders - The press reveals its convictions in coverage of war and abortion rallies .

Iraqi-Americans to Hold "Philadelphia Freedom Rally", Feb. 15, 2003, 12:00 pm-4:00 pm in Phil. Pa.. Iraqi-Americans WANT us to liberate Iraq!

Who knew? We're spreading the word.

Anti-terrorist rallies today, press coverage largely courtesy of FR:

"Give War a Chance" rally, Huntsville, Alabama - sponsored by local radio station, WVNN. For more info: www.wvnn.com
2/15, High Noon, Fresno, California: Counter-protest Tower District anti-war "Peace March" rally
Pro Troops Rally in Tacoma Washington Saturday
Bakersfield Freedom rally (Pro-troop,Anti-Saddam)at 4 pm today
Show of Support (Pro America Rally in N. Texas), actual newspaper article from the Star Telegram, go, Texas!
Spokane, WA Support the Troops Rally, February 15th
Rally for the Troops at the U. N. in NYC at 12 noon on 2/15/03 Thread III
Steve Malzberg just mentioned patriots Rally on 77WABC, DC, radio.
"War backers to 'rally for America'" (Colorado), Rocky Mountain News
NC FREEPERS: Patriot Rally, Feb 15th, Support Our Troops, Raleigh.

Letter to the editor:

On Feb.15, ANSWER's "peace" activists will protest - again, duping well-meaning pacifists with the false promise of peace at any price.

Saddam mass-murdered Kurds with chemical weapons. Kurds, American-Iraqis and the Iraqi people want Saddam removed. Saddam murders dissenters - even family. Forget free speech, trial by jury - human rights - but there's peace.  As we delay, Saddam hides weapons among civilians, kills Kurdish leaders and seeks parts for his nuclear bombs.

After 50 years of suffering under Kim I&II,  N. Koreans quietly cheered President Bush for naming N.Korea part of the "Axis of Evil". A pregnant Christian may be jailed, forced to kill her baby - or guards will.  No "second generation of Christians" allowed. The people are starving while billions in foreign aid feeds the military, elites, whitewashes Pyong Yang  for VIPs - and elevates Kim - who never stopped building nukes after the 1994 agreement - but they're at peace.

The press must put the protests in perspective or false reports of a divided America will strengthen our enemies' resolve.  MILLIONS of plumbers, policemen, mothers, doctors - mainstream Americans - will spend Feb.15 caring for jobs and families. We support our country, our President, our honorable troops.

It's time for the anti-American activists and Hollywood actors to take their rightful places on the American stage - behind our President and every American who counts his blessings instead of cursing his country. We must stop catering to, as SOD Rumsfeld would call Saddam, Kim or any "peacenik" ringleader, Joe, the village liar.

I support your call to action, but there is another option to consider.

There's an old saying that when your opponent is commiting suicide -- let 'em. I believe this saying can be applied to the hundreds of thousands (not millions) of useless idiots marching (rioting) in support of the brutal regime in Iraq.

When the current Iraqi regime is defeated and the US Army finds massive caches of WMDs and the news media "uncovers" human attrocities commited by Saddam's secret police, the anarchists marching today will be exposed as indirect sponsors of terror and human rights abuse. There will be no pride in communist Muddville.

If, on the other hand, Saddam's ex-regime is found to be as peaceful as choir boys and no evidence of WMDs are located, then the Bush administration and its "coalition of the willing" will be the idiots.

Now, the chances of Bush being wrong and the anarchists being right are about 1,000,000 to 1. Therefore, I'm going to sit back and watch the anarchist left destroy themself on TV today with a cold beer and popcorn knowing that by St. Partick's Day these vermin will be totally exposed as pieces of [blank].

Rallying in response to *their* rallies can make us look weak. We need to post signs in our yards and windows, put bumper stickers on our cars and organize community workshops geared around supporting our troops. These actions have much longer lasting effects than one day rallies. Handing out pro-freedom flyers at rallies may be good, too.

I often wonder what these people were doing September 12, 2001.

That would ahve been a fine day for a major protest.

There is a very active chapter in Dallas, try FReepmailing Ms.Antifeminazi!

There seems to be many reasons that some chapters chose not to protest today. For one, I'm in the LA Chapter and we're going down to Long Beach and help the College Republicans with a protest on Tuesday. Others expressed concerns about safety and asking people with families to go out and possibly confront what are sometimes known to be violent people. Others would prefer to FReep on a day when they can command the press's attention and not have to vie for camera time with the thugs and smelly fascists. Others weren't sure if the comparison the press would make between their numbers and ours would be positive (not all press is good press). Some believe the left does more harm to themselves than good with what appear to many Americans to be anti-American rants. If your enemy is digging a hole, why divert him? Still, others mentioned they prefer to husband their opportunities to ask others to give up a Saturday by counterprotesting an issue that 75% of Americans think is despicable. Knowing when you're ahead is important.

Of course, not all conditions would be perfect but we can resolve ourselves to formulating strategies that put most of them into the "win" column for us up front!
