Just got off the phone with Firebrand. The NYPD is jerking us around as usual. We are allowed to go through only on 40th street and will have to converge at the corner of 41st street and 1st avenue.I am updating the hotline 917-387-8865 of any changes.
I will try to post with my pocket pc from the location as soon as I get there. Getting in my car and will try to drive into Manhattan.

What? You stayed home!
As someone has already suggested, since the UN weasels want more inspections, I think its time for the US to conduct INSPECTIONS IN FORCE. This is a variant of what I believe George Patton did when responding to a question as to why he was continuing forward when he had been ordered to hold in place. He replied that his troops were merely conducting reconnaissance in force.

FWIW- We have a balloon festival in Lincoln, Illinois, on the third weekend of August each year. 48-52 balloons. All balloons get room and board and fuel (I think ?) What's your schedule look like then ? We have a sesquecentennial celebration during the last week of August, after the balloon festival. How does your schedule look ?
I went to the memorial service at Shanksville, PA., this past Sep. (9-11)

I'm not sure about August yet, but I think we will be in Maine or Canada that week.

GOOD LUCK, Tri-State and DC FReepers! I am so sorry we could not join you for this rally (home with the flu).
I'll give the thread some bumps throughout the day.

WTIC radio in Hartford is reporting that seventeen train cars of peaceniks are heading to NYC from CT! And those are just the peaceniks taking the train, not counting carloads, busloads, etc. How the heck do they manage to do this???

Good luck Kristinn.
You run into Curtis yet? He said he would be at a patriot's rally on his show yesterday. I suspect he meant you folks.

Just finished a live studio interview with the Canadian Broadcasting Company's Newshour program. It's supposed to be repeated at noon if anyone gets it on their satellite dishes :-)It went well. I asked where were all these demonstrators when we were bombing Yugoslavia in 1999, or when the slaughter in Rwanda happened--pointing out their double-standard for demonstrating against "war."
The interviewer asked about our numbers today. I told her we didn't get our permit until Thursday, so we have no idea how many. I pointed out that we show our support by going to work, paying taxes and voting.
Way to go, kristinn! I wish I could see that interview (we don't get CBC). Thank you for making the trip to NYC all the way from DC. GOOD LUCK today!

Good luck my fellow New Yorkers.
I'm stuck at work, not too far from the rally.

Ah, George isn't going to invade Iraq. He's just going to conduct an INSPECTION IN FORCE. I'm sure the US and Brithish led inspection team will have no trouble finding the Weapons banned by the UN resolutions as opposed to the UNamerican inspectors.
Please note that the cheese eating surrender monkey's have deployed the pride of the French Navy, Carrier Charles de Gaulle, and forward deployed troops to assist in the peace keeping after the US and Britain complete their inspections.

What? You stayed home! Yeah. Bummer, man! I had to look at the weather predictions and the terror alert status. I'm considered an "essential" employee at work should a disaster or emergency be declared. ER has been running at or close to capacity this week. I know they'll call me in (that's what I get for having a 4WD gas-guzzlin' SUV); if not to do what I'm trained to do - they'll put me to use moving patients around and other stuff.
Besides all that, I couldn't take my "arsenal" with me on the road. Don't want to be too far from that stuff.
Judging from the BREAKING NEWS sidebar, the FReepers nationwide are takin' it to the streets in support of our troops and our country's right to self-protection.
A side note to the Sidebar Moderator/s and Admin Moderators:
I have seen a few folks complaining about the FReep announcements and live threads and reports being up on BREAKING NEWS. Hold firm. This is exactly what FR is here for; to inform the readers of where and when our grassroots actions are taking place, so that all can join in.
When you get complaints - remember that James Carville, Bill Press, Tommy Daschle, Patty Murray and other crybabies are unhappy that we have a medium of our own to counter their major-media-stranglehold.
FReep on !!
