F15 Essential Info - THE NYPD CONFIRMS THAT THE RALLY IS ON - (*NYC Counter-FReep Alert!*)
Indy Media Central | Feb 13 2003 | Some Wacky Leftist

from http://nyc.indymedia.org .

All permits are valid, and out-of-town commercial bus traffic is welcome in New York. All rumors to the contrary are false: New York City's F15 protest is set to begin.

As thousands of people prepare to converge in New York this weekend to protest war against Iraq, things may seem a little confusing. Here’s some basic information: Time and location: Noon, Saturday, February 15; 1st Ave. and 49th St.

Updated map of feeder marches from rally organizers United for Peace and Justice What to bring with you Know your legal rights (even if the Man wants to take ‘em away) Legal Info from National Lawyers Guild First aid info in case of tear gas/pepper spray attack Medical assistance, hospital locations, hypothermia prevention from UPJ Saturday's weather forecast Change in labor contingent march plans

Pacifica Radio will broadcast the demonstrations from 12-3pm on Saturday, and is encouraging marchers to bring radios to the convergence. Pacifica and Democracy Now (DN) will also collaborate with TV outlets such as DirecTV and Free Speech TV in the nation’s largest public media collaboration. You can also call any public TV station and ask them to broadcast the protest, according to DN.

A color-coded map (now with symbols and more marches!) to help you find your favorite feeder march.

This is what the leftists plan for tomorrow. Check out the web page for more details of what they are instructing their minions to do. It's going to be cold, so dress warm.

NYC area FReepers, may you be victorious in your counter-FReep!

Pacifica Radio

Tax funded, public radio is a prime organizer for this event!

We've got a cold front and snow storm comming.
Actually, I don't care if they protest. Most Americans have a life and really could care less.
No one takes them seriously. It's like the gays parades. Some people may take a minute to watch the freak show, but other than that no one cares.

You could probably make some good money from the Arab lobby if you organized an anti-war protest. I'm sure somebody is making a buck. Otherwise, most of these protests would be non-existent.

is pacifica tax funded? i always thought they were independent of the govt -- not like NPR.

TAX FUNDED they are, and to the left of NPR if that's possible.

Before I wrote this.....I prayed to God for forgiveness and throughly washed my hands with soap. I felt dirty even mentioning anything that can be construed as positive about Pacifica Radio.

Pacifica isnt tax funded...though they have non-profit or not-for-profit status. They are privately funded by the most extreme leftist groups (ones that make up clever names to cover up their Communism)
