It was more like despair for having her family torn apart. I don't condone what she did, but apparently you don't have much problem with what the husband did - if you think the only result of adultery is "shame and embarrassment"
"Thou shalt not commit adultery" wasn't a suggestion, and it wasn't for a light or frivolous reason that G-d said it.
Your heroine tore it apart even more since she's in prison for 10 years and hopefully more
I don't condone what she did,
Of course you don't.... </sarcasm>
but apparently you don't have much problem with what the husband did
He seems like a low life. I wonder what she did that drove him to such behavior. SEE.....GUYS CAN PLAY the poor, poor pitiful me victim game too.

Whatever, and by your calculation hubby deserved to die for this. REALITY is our divorce court are clogged with women initiating divorce. Getting handsome settlements from their ex's. They seem to be able to move on and make a new life for themselves and children with their ex-husband's money.
Somewhere in there God also said "Thou shalt not kill." And Jesus stopped a crowd from stoning an adulteress to death. Clara wouldn't have gotten along too good with either Jesus or God.
