I asked that Nelson give a speech telling his Democrat colleagues that the filibuster against nominee Estrada must stop particularly now when we are on the brink of war & under a high terrorist alert. What they are doing is preventing the Senate from voting on a nominee that the Judicial Committee has brought to the floor for a vote. The Democrats are disenfranchising all Americans by preventing the other Senators from voting as required by the Constitution! I reminded them that this will hurt the Democrat Party if it continues. ....especially since that party was so concerned about 'disenfranchising voters in 2000 election'. Excellent points!! btw - when I was talking to the staffer, I practiced my own brand of RAT b.s. saying that I always felt Sen. Nelson was above petty politics and hoped he would do what was best for the protection of our Country. (I even did it with a straight face!!).
