The reality is, we are at war with Saddam Hussein -- he hit us bad on 9/11, and now has the anthrax dagger at our throats -- and al-Qaeda is a convenient proxy bogeyman our leaders use to evade that awful truth. We have been outwitted and out-maneauvered by a Third World thug our leaders told us was "contained" ten years ago, and he can kill millions of us and lay our greatest cities to waste if we attempt to move against him. Bad truth, but it's the truth. Deal with it, everybody.

If the tanks on the way to Baghdad were stopped by chemical and biological weapons related threats or 'demonstrations', the blackmail by a third world thug has been going on for well over a decade. Meanwhile, the Chinese bankroll the upstart Clintoon, and quite a few other third world thugs see WMD blackmailing of the US as a viable survival tactic. Hence, North Korea and Iran go for the nukes, while Clintoon is preoccuppied with his 'special purpose' in life.

It seemed like a riddle to figure out what was going on.

I looked at a few links and all I could come up with is the answer is prayer. I was tired and went back to find it later anyways could you tell me what you and backhoe were enlightened on.

I am lousy at guessing games but was really intersted in what was being said that I did not get.

Oh please. Saddam is a cunning and clever fellow to have remained alive, in power and in possession of WMD. But he is hardly the great strategist and global svengali you imagine. Conisder, as even Bush I officials readily admit, that with a bit of finesse (agreeing not to invade Saudi Arabia and a few other compromises) he could have held on to Kuwait.

The claim that al-Qaeda has no separate reality is absurd. (I certainly agree that are coordinating with Saddam, and have most probably done so in the past.)

Realllllllyyyy...... So you say Al Qaeda is a Myth. I beg to differ. Al Qaeda is a reality. The fact that it is a puppet organizatin for radical Muslim groups (and insane individuals like Saddam). I feel certain that Al Qaeda is much like a mercinary organization. They do the bidding of whoever is paying them. I do believe that Saddam is "signing their checks" right now.

My God, I just went back and read it over again.

First you state that Al Qaeda is a myth.

Then you assert that the same organization, which you claim to be a myth, cares more about themselves than they do Al Qaeda. Now then, is this organization a myth, or is it not?

What you are claiming is that Al Qaeda is an artificial construct, put together by Saddam to be our undoing. The breathtaking stupidity of such a statement bears reflection.

You also claim that Saddam has a dagger at our throats. Yet we are mobilizing. I ask again (something you couldn't even bring yourself to answer, because you know that to do so would undo your whole fantasy...), why would Bush put himself into a no-win position if Saddam could deter him from the getgo? I know, you didn't think that far ahead, did you?

Of course, I noticed that you left yourself an intellectual fallback position once your house of cards comes tumbling down: you stated earlier that the Kurdish and Shi'a areas could serve as liberated zones, leaving Saddam to rule a rump state.

The sure sign of a man who, all too late, realized that he had neither the law, nor the facts on his side: all that is left for you to do is to pound the table.
